Interesting article! It's basically saying that when you're pushing, getting on your hands and knees is better than lying on your back. They say it's easier, less painful, and causes less tearing.
 
Pretty much yep...so what we all know it just gives a few medical/anatomical terms is all.

I'm a big nerd pants.
 
No probs...I have so many email groupS, blogs and FB pages to do with natural birth and homebirths I feel I need to share the info overload!
 
Have you seen this paper from the RCM about pushing while we are on the subject?

It's in this blog post where it says 'attached paper' I was going to just post the paper but I actually love the blog post too :D

Are we pushing too hard?
 
yup I like that one i have it in my bookmarks and remember sharing it over in 2nd tri when ladies were saying they were scared they'd push your baby out if they go for a big poo LOL.

If only it were that easy.

I think its a great blog post and the paper is good, defo no coached pushing for me!
