My dd still wakes about 6x through the night :( half the time there's no reason for it, she just screams and crystal until someone comes in and tucks her back down, the half hour later it will happen again.

She's got excema so that wakes her up sometimes from scratching and she will wake up to use the potty (screams in bed until we come and put her on it) we have told her it's ok to get up and do it herself but she won't.

She will be 3 next week and I don't think we've ever had a full nights sleep from her. Our DS who's 10 sleeps al, isn't every night since abut 4 months old. I don't get why she kicks up such a fuss. I don't want to just let her cry it out as I'm worried she will wake DS :dohh:

Any advise? I really don't know what to do

I wish I had some great advise hun- it's so hard as all kids vary as to why they wake up often. My one friend has 3 kids- the first is older and slept great from the time she was a baby. Her 2nd (who's just 4yrs now) has only recently starting sleeping through all night... and her 2 yr old still wakes a few times. She did try different methods- but eventually, just waited it out.

Can't hurt to at least give some different sleep training techniques a try-- there are many that are more gentle and don't require any crying really. I don't know the names off hand- sorry- but I would maybe research online for Toddler Sleep training and see if you feel there is something worth trying.

You might even ask her pediatrician if they recommend a book or technique. Obviously you have to do what makes sense for you and LO in the end.

My 3.5 year ol dissimilar but maybe not as extreme. She wakes 2-3 times a night usually because she's scared, claims her knee hurts, or needs to use the potty. My 19 month old wakes 1-2 times per night.. And I'm expecting my 3rd... This should be fun... Hope it all passes for both of our sakes!

Hi no advice we also just. Waited it out our 3 and half year old was waking 5 times a night until last week where he's suddenly gone to sleeping 12 hours straight its a miracle

Dont have advice im afraid but my 4.5yr old still wakes at night. She has never cried or tantrums so it does make it easier but she is wide awake and ready to have full blown conversations and give big smiles. I dont drift off either when shes awake but my body has gotten used to waking up. I wake up even when she isnt.

My 3yo is up most nights too. She just stands at her door and all it takes is tucking her back in, but it's a bit annoying! Lol. Sometimes it can be 5 times a night but then she can go a few nights without getting up at all (she hasn't been up for a few nights now that I think about it!)
I am totally used to it so not too bothered. I think it's just one of those things they will outgrow eventually

Gabriel has good nights and bad nights. He will go a while where he will go right to bed and stay asleep, and then IDK what happens, but it will be a struggle all over again. Lately, he is having a hard time falling asleep. He just wants to lay with us is all, but we arent allowing it as Im pregnant, and I dont need him kicking me in his sleep. So we give him all he needs, a story, light snuggles, his blankie, and light, and send him off to bed. He will be at the door saying, "My heart hurts because I just want to snuggle wis you!" (Ughhhh, :( ) It makes me sad too, but I know its best that this habit be broken now, so I just usher him off to bed, tuck him in, hug and smooch, tell him not to get up, and off he goes to bed.
