36+2 weeks and pulsing period pains

Never had this with my 2, so it's new to me. I've been getting period pains for weeks but tonight they feel different, they feel sharper and feel like its almost like a pulsing pain.
he's head down. he's not engaged, not even a little despite being able to feel his head move around in my pelvic area.
please tell me this could possibly be a sign of labour being around the corner.
i'm having a C-section on the 11th, this is also our last baby and I've never experienced going into labour naturally, and it is something I would like to experience.
what can be causing this pain?

Not to much help sorry but i had pulsing period pains last night after sex they only lasted 3 hrs tho and were 3/4 minutes apart i was hoping it was the start but they fizzled out hopefully soon for us tho x

i'm on a sex ban so its not that, these were seconds apart, barely got over one before another came. they were like that when I was induced with my first. i'm hoping its the start of something I've had enough now
