I have had one cold after another and have only just started to get rid of a nasty cough. This is because my little boy started nursery a few weeks ago and has caught every bug going obviously passing it on to me. Then he gets better but I am left with lingering effects...

Anyway, now I am past the 38 week point, I am starting to get what I got last time - I feel really iffy. I am have hot flushes, feel like I have an upset tummy and keep running to the toilet (sorry if that's TMI but just being honest) I could sleep all day during the day but can't even get to sleep at night now cos I am soooooooooo uncomfortable and now I am getting the foot wedged under my left ribcage right under my boob! Ow!

I just feel like having a right good moan about it on here because I can't keep on about this at home. I am boring my fiance sick with my complaining (although I do try to keep quiet but by 8pm I am just flat as a pancake!)

My joints are aching, my belly is massive and is now covered in stretch marks when I had NONE up until a week ago. They are deep purple and shiny. The baby isn't moving as much now there in no room left and I panic. Then when he starts writhing around it is agony. We went out to the park with my little boy yesterday as it was my fiance's first day off in weeks and I ruined it because I walked about 10 mins, pulled a muscle in the rhs of my bump and cried with every step back to the car (I thought I had a high pain threshold but am now terrified of going into labour!)

Anyways, I just wondering, is anyone else at this stage actually feeling hot n cold, burning up one minute and feeling like puking the next? I still have this stupid cough which is agony with the little foot I have wedged up under my ribs. Every time the foot creeps up there, a coughing fit starts and I just want to cry.

Sorry for the big, huge rant. I know how unbelievably lucky I am to have this baby and to have had a healthy pregnancy. It makes me feel so ungrateful to be bitching about this but it's really getting me down.

Thanks to anyone who could be bothered to read this far.....

oh i couldnt imagine having a bad cough at mo...i am 38wks this wk & have finally had to give in to this pregnancy..can hardly move..baby so tightly compacted inside...must eb awful with cough & cold as well..i feel well enough in myself but bodywise such an effort to do anything..from what i can remember i was like this last time on Ds & i think its natures way of getting us ready for birth..you start to feel so bad everyday u actually look forward to the birth as you hope you will start to feel better then...

we just took dogs for walk in field of cows.. i walked so slowly as could hardly move but then cows started running towards our end of field..well never saw me walk so fast to get to gate..but didnt i pay for it when got back near car...was funny thou where that burst of energy came from in face of fear....

:) The cow story made me laugh thanks. You make a good point - maybe it is nature's way of making us WANT the birth to happen soon cos we just feel so awful by this stage that you just want things to get moving.

I am starting to lose the terror of the actual birth part because I do just feel so completely wiped out now. Ahhhhh. Thanks for your reply :)

thats how i am feeling just want to feel better again but at mo each day feel worse...glad gave u a chuckle..sorry if it hurt your ribs thou, not much room to even giggle these days without pain..ah well almost there...

No need to be sorry, at the end of the day, people can appreciate that everything means different things to people. You're human and you're entitled to be peed off. Pregnancy is beautiful and something to be greatful for (which you are, we all are). But it's hard, brutal and painful. The last few weeks are the worst and it's funny how quickly we forget that with previous pregnancies.

By all means moan, because we all will at some point!

By the way, where in Scotland are you?

I had it start last week too hun. I am still feeling awful. Tired, run down, cough, stuffy nose the lot. We are nearly there though. I too have no room for little one, and the moves are very painful. Think, its nearly over! I go for c-section Thursday. Baby is looking a little big so they don't want any complications, I say do whatever you have to do doc:)

Good luck with the C section - how amazing to know you will have your little one in your arms in a couple of days!!!

We only get the option of induction if you go a week overdue in my area and no late scans so I am worried this baby is gonna be a 10lber! It just seems soooooooooo much bigger than my little boy who was 8lb 4 when he was born..

Thanks to everyone for all the replies :flower:

Im 38 weeks also. Cant sleep at night because I wake everytime drool starts running down my face! And I wake up soaked in sweat. Its quite disgustiong. Ive never been that gross! Not to mention having to get up and pee and then realizing I really didnt have to pee, it was just her on my bladder. Also at night is when she decides to wiggle around and headbutt my cervix, which hurts soooo bad!
The upset stomach started for me yesterday. Guess our bodies are cleanign themselves out for labor? Ive also been getting headaches everyday and my heartburn has NOT let up any. Plus I keep thinkng Im in early labor and then everything dissappears.

We will get through this though!

Oh, the headaches have started for me too... AND we're only allowed to buy maximum of 2 boxes of paracetamol at the shops so I have to go round the chemists, superdrug and boots up on the high street to stock up when I can hardly even walk up and down the stairs at the minute.

My bump was really high last night for the first time in my WHOLE pregnancy this time! I was like "Get back down there you little rascal! You're meant to be getting ready to exit!!!!" Was the first time my maternity jeans stayed up for the whole day! :)

I've been feeling really 'off' on an evening I feel hot but to touch I'm fine then I start to feel alittle shaky but once I'm in bed I'm fine lol just exhausted I think hope it feeling better soon xx
