Have to agree with aob103 and sb22if we wanted a thread about any risks to do with scans we would have asked, and if you wanted to share you should have started a new thread, this is getting a bit silly really and some people may be getting upset, your comment about how having a scan with a live baby doesnt mean there is a live baby 5 minutes later....has really upset me after everything some of us ladies have been through !
I couldnt have put it better myself Mummy2Angel and I totally agree with every single word

1st tri is a scary place for us ladies and even scarier when you enter a thread about the op`s excitment at having 3d/4d to find it has all been invaded with stats/info on unproven risks to baby! I was truly upset by the `having a scan with a live baby only for it not to be live 5mins later` comment this was totally uncalled for and I would def say this is a scare tactic. There will always be ladies in 1st tri who have suffered losses and whilst we are all aware of what this feels like and also how much we worry everything will be ok this time we also try to remain stress/worry free as much as possible and to enter a thread like this one about the joy of a 3d/4d scan only to be scared half to death is really not a stress/worry free experience. The idea of this forum is surely to support each other not scare each other witless.
I think it may be helpful if people were more considerate before posting such stats/info and also be mindful of the possible viewing audience. I would certainly understand and probably avoid had the op asked the question `does anyone know of any risks if I were to have additional scans`but she didnt and therfore unless a person has/is aksed for such info I dont think it such be posted therefore such upset can be avoided!
