3D scans?

Is anyone planning on getting a 3D scan done later down the line?

DH wants to, but I find the images a bit creepy so I said I'd rather not. Am I being weird?

We're planning on it around 28-30 weeks. We're excited because we'll get a 3D picture and a 4D dvd of the baby moving around. I think they're neat because you can really see what your LO will look like!

We're debating.

Where we're from, you have to go to a private clinic to find out the sex.
There's a dr in town who will do a gender scan, so we'll probably go see him as soon as we can for that.

I think the 3D would be neat to do as well, but hubby also finds them really creepy so we might not

Thank goodness I am not the only one. The images look like bogey babies to me and creep me out.

I find the 3D scans a bit creepy myself. I also don't want to see my babies face until he/she is born.

Has anyone heard if the 3D scans are safe or can they cause harm to the baby?

Nope.
I'm planning to only do scans as necessary, a 3D scan seems frivilous to me. Plus I don't think they've conclusively determined if the 3D scan is safe.

i do find them very creepy.. i might have one done though because i'm so curious.
