4 dpo today - Anyone at a similar point?

Anyone want to chat who is at a similar point in the two week wait?

I'm in my 15 month of ttc number 2, no luck yet though!

I have PCOS but seemed to ovulate earlier than usual at cd 17 so that's great. I have sore nipples, but that might be because the hubby gave them abit too much attention a few nights ago (sorry tmi) and I have a fair bit of creamy cm.

Last cycle I had blood tests to see if I am ovulating and I am, now my hubby is waiting for a letter from the hospital so he can get his swimmers tested, then once thats done we will apparently get referred to a specialist. Not sure what they can do as we already have a child, who we conceived without a problem...infact we weren't even trying.

Would love to chat to anyone and share the 2ww!!

Hello!!

I really thought despite my PCOS that I wouldn't have any problems but I was very wrong. We aren't going to carry on for too much longer, I'm now 35 and our son is almost 4 so will give it til next year (perhaps til I'm 36 which is May) and if nothing happens then we'll give up. By then it will have been almost 2 years of trying.

Best of luck with your first cycle, hope it doesn't take too long...I can safely say after a while you get totally and utterly fed up!!! I tell myself I have one child and thats enough but it doesn't really work because I still yearn for anothe and really hope I get a positive pregnancy test soon.

I'm sure it is hard. At least you're persevering and keep trying! Maybe after you stop trying, you can NTNP and it'll happen quick Is there a maximum age gap you have in mind?

I hope my first cycle results in a BFP, too...because I don't really have the energy to pour into this and also if it doesn't happen soon I'm afraid I'll change my mind. I've always wanted just one child and recently decided to have another but I'm sure I could persuade myself to go back to just one

Before I had my son I always wanted 2, but then for a good 2 years I didn't want another (my reasons were mainly financial) then I did want another and wanted a 3 year age gap, but thats too late now. Then I wanted 4 year gap because it would mean that my son would be at school by the time I went back to work, which would make things much easier. So I guess 5 years is my limit, but my age is also a factor I dont want to be older than 36 when I have another and ideally want to conceive when I'm still 35...I have til May 1st lol. To be fair when we started trying I didn't want to be older than 35 and I wanted the gap to be 3 years tops...but those markers are changing as times goes on. It may well come to a point where we have to face that we aren't going to have more than one child, not what I want but at least I have one child, some don't even get that. My little boy wants a sister, I thought he'd want a brother but no he keeps telling me he wants a sister...I'm trying lol.

Whats your ideal age gap? I never wanted a small one, but I work and it just would not have been possible for us financiall. My boy starts school September next year and in an ideal world I'll be on maternity leave when he starts.

We tried NTNP from Jan to March, I thought as we conceived twice without trying that I would again but nope!!

I def understand the age thing. Though a lady at my church had her 3rd child at 47!!! WHOA.

My ideal age gap is 3 years. If I conceive this month, the gap will be 2 years, 9 months. I have a little bit of cushion there, but not much! My sister and I were 4 years apart and I hated her until she got to high school. We were just too far apart in age. I want my little ones to be friends. Although, if this takes awhile, I'm sure that won't be as important as just getting another healthy child!

ETA: I am turning 30 in 2 weeks. Not happy about that.

Wow 47! That makes me feel young. A woman I work with is pregnant with number 2 and she is 40, but I wouldn't want to be much older than I am and a 4 and a half year gap would be ideal.

Anything going on with you? Nothing going on with me, suppose it's a bit early for so called symptoms...anyone I've had some great symptoms in past cycles and its meant nothing.

I tested this morning just to make sure I knew how to use the test. It was BFN surprise surprise lol.

hey, well I'm 9 dpo today and I dont have any tests as I'm a peeonastickholic, so much so that I tested with an opk as if you get a positive opk its likely you are pregnant...it wasn't positive. Still early though, I had a temp dip yesterday, hoping it was an implantation dip and todays its gone right up (chart is below). Boobs are still sore but that's about it really. Had a very small amount of brown cm in my knickers on 7 dpo, so that was the day before my 8 dpo temp dip, but I'm not going to get my hopes up because we've been trying a long time and I've just been disappointed every single cycle. Starting to feel like what is the point, obviously isn't going to happen!!!

By tonight I will be 9 dpo. I'm going to test with FMU tomorrow.

I have sore boobs too and I'm crampy but those things are normal for me as my period comes so it means nothing.

I realize this post is a few days old but I wanted to jump in and say I'm 4/5 dpo today. TTC baby #2, going on 2 years of "trying" but only a little over a year since I weaned my daughter.

Went to see the specialist in August, had bloods to confirm I was ovulating, then had an HSG procedure, now have a follow up appointment on October 3.

Feeling like I'm out right now anyways, and I know it's early. Just feels like every other month though.

Yeah, I'm losing my ability to be positive as well. My husband said last night, it'll happen. I really believe that. I said, I know you do but I don't have as much faith as you do. It's not normal for it to take this long.

We tried for 5 months off of birth control with my dd.

The second pic is edited for contrast and shadows. It's a squinter on the first one and way more obvious on the second! I'm sooo cautious to call myself pregnant because I want to confirm with other tests, and I'm stuck at work!
