so i have a question and im really hoping that somebody can help me
Is it possible for a 4 month old to have nightmares?
In the middle of the night my daughter starts crying so i go and see what is wrong and she is still asleep but crying really loud. So i pick her up and try and get her to stop crying.. after a few minutes of my soothing her she stops but she is asleep the whole time...
Is this normal??

Help Please!
Thanks

that is a night terror and that is abnormal at that age. They generally don't start until 18 months. I would consult a medical professional as that means LO could be in pain.

Noah does this and hes teething. She is probably just teething early bless her. Im not saying the above poster is wrong but if she was having night terrors it would be nearly impossible to comfort her and her crying would go on for ages x

My lil girl also does this but isn't in a deep sleep and is starting to wake when she gets v upset. As pp said she us also teething so I think it's when the pain gets to her.x

There nervous system is not fully developed so they will cry and laugh in their sleep. These are not night terrors or there is nothing wrong within your LO. my LO just cried a little in his sleep a little bit ago. I wouldn't worry to much about it. It is completely normal.
