In the past 8 weeks I have had 4 UTI's. I have called my ob and she is not overly concerned (didn't even call me back twice) and told me since my regular doctor had put me on anti-biotics, it was fine.

Is it really okay though to have 4 in a little less than 8 weeks?

They shouldn't keep coming back like that - perhaps you are not getting a long enough course of antibiotics each time so the infection keeps coming back. Have you had "clean" tests inbetween the different infections? If not it is likely that it is the same one infection that isn't being cleared.
If you know that the infection has been cleared and is coming back then you need to look at why you keep getting them. I assume you are doing all the sensible stuff like plain cotton knickers, showers not baths, no harsh soaps down there, no tights, no tight trousers etc etc etc. If so then you may need a longer course of a low dose antibiotic to keep it at bay. Some people get prescribed niturofantin for a period of a few months as a preventative measure.

Thank you! Yes, I'm doing all things they keep telling me to do - staying hydrated, cleaning myself well, peeing before and after sex, showers not baths etc- but it keeps happening. I've tested negative between infections. The one I have right now isn't that bad but they are definitely disruptive!!!

Try taking cranberry capsules, I used to get a lot of UTI's and these really helped. Cranberry contains an antioxidant that coats your bladder walls and makes it difficult for the bacteria that causes infections to hang around. You can drink juice too but it's much more dilute and you need to drink a lot to get the same effect as the capsules.
