Hi all

Well 5 days over now, totally fed up...got pelvic pain, swollen knees and feet and soooo exhausted! went to midwife yest for a stretch amd sweep but she couldnt end up doing one as i got all tense down below and strated crying :( was actually so frightened :( its like i cant bare anything or anyone touching me down there!! i dont know whats happened to me!

Luckily my midwife is lovely and has said if id feel more relaxed then she is will come out to my house to do a stretch...shes coming today at 4, so hopefully ill be ok this time :(

Tried pineapple, RTL, birthing ball, walking ect but nothing working.

Got my induction booked for friday 27th if nothing has happened by then...but that seems so far away! i wasnt aware they didnt induce u till 14 days over.

Anyway...rant over...thanks for listening lol

Aw it's so hard isn't it, I know how you feel as my first baby was 9 days late. However she came naturally and really, a healthy pregnancy can and often does goes on for 42 weeks, there is not usually any need to induce before then, so try not to get too down.

That's good the MW is coming out to your house, being at home will surely help you feel relaxed. Just try to concentrate on breathing deeply. And remember you can change your mind or tell her to stop at any point.

The sweep isn't too bad, hope it works for you! Just focus on getting baby out.

I hope the sweep goes better today. Try to close your eyes and imagine you are somewhere else. I've never had a sweep, but most girls who have do not describe it as painful. Good luck! I hope things start happening for you soon!

I think id just got myself worked up about it all yesterday...hormomnes n all that lol. Im really gonna try today, i want to know if my cervix is soft and ready and still hard, and if im at all dilated ect.

Dont know how im gonna give birth if scared of a s and s!!

Thank u for kind replies :) xx

Don't fret about the sweep. its really not bad at all, all I felt was a pressure of her fingers, it wasn't sore at all.

Hope you manage to relax this time! x

I had a sweep last week (didn't bloody work mind you) and honestly there was no pain at all. I hope you can relax enough later for her to do it. If not don't worry hun... These things happen. Good luck.

I really dont know whats wrong with me, its like i just went all tense sand my muscles wouldnt relax....and then i started crying - even made the midwife cry!!!

Hoping i can relax today xx

Fingers crossed you can relax honey <3

Can anyone be there with you to talk to you/distract you whilst they do it? xx

aww hunnie, first off huge hugs as i can imagine how frustrated u are already...secondly the S&S is fine, slightly uncomfotable but honestly fine, its so quick too..i had one at 38 weeks with my DS as my cervix was open and i was 3 cm dilated (plus my son was a big boy so wanted me to go naturally not induction at 39 weeks)

like a PP said, close your eyes and just imagine something relaxing and before you know it, it will be done...honestly you will be fine, and as for labour...again you will be fine xxx

Hey you :) We have same due date don't we, I'm still waiting too lol. Had stretch and sweep on Monday it was a little uncomfortable but worth it just to find out how far along I am (I'm 1cm dilated and 50% effaced). Goodluck tonight I hope you can relax

Thank u all :)

Yeh i want to know how my cervix is and if im dilated ect.

Peach mummy - r u ahving another s and s? r u booked for induction? xx

Aaaw I know how you feel :( I have never been this overdue before and I am soooo ready for my baby now but feel like its never going to happen :(
