41 weeks today and just been for a sweep....

And the midwife could only just touch my stupid cervix :'( Sooo pissed off. She said theres not much chance of me going naturally as I just don't seem ready and Im now booked in for induction on tuesday. Waaahhh why me? I sooo didnt want to be induced! I can't believe my cervix is still so high up that she cant even give me a sweep at FORTY ONE weeks.

I feel exactly the same I could cry right now, I was induced with my first & really wanted to go naturally but has a sweep today too with closed cervix & posterior .....

Boooked for induction Tuesday too

Ahh so we're in exactly the same boat then. So annoyed right now! I always see people writing on here about how many cm's dilated they are etc before they are even due and im a week overdue and te midwife can only just touch mine! Grrrrr! I feel
sorry for us lol.

ah bless, its an awful feeling to be overdue by any amount (i was with both my first 2) especially as it doesnt look like the sweep will be successfull, but, you never know, i had a sweep done with my first and it didnt work but did go into labour naturally before induction so you never know. Look at it on the positive side of things.. even though induction is not ideal, at least the end is in sight an you now have a definate date - at the latest - but there is still a chance it will hapen before then - things can change so quick. I'm almost in the same boat as you. She did a sweep on me yesterday but apart from a few BH last night I've had nothing since I feel like this baby is never going to come out especially as I had my son near due date. Was convinced I was going to come early with this one. Induction booked for 3rd August and to be honest I reckon I'll be going then.

Yes the end is in sight & we can say our babies will be here next week yay !

The worst part for me is having to labour in hospital again which I hated last time would much rather be at home until I need drugs lol ...

Hopefully things kick off for us all, it is frustrating seeing the due date come & go coz everyone said oh it's your second it wont be late but I've always had a feeling I would need induction again

I found out yesterday that baby isn't at all engaged and its put me on a bit of a downer that shes probably not going to come out on her own anytime soon - so i can only imagine how frustrated you must feel!! xx

I know what you mean I think because everyone, including my consultant, said "Oh this baby won't be long" and "look at the size of her already", "she'll be early" just makes it worse I think. My poor Mum has been with us for a week already as we need her for child care and she could be here with us for another two weeks . She's missing my Dad and I think getting a bit bored. Still hoping it won't be another week.

Aww I feel bad for us all haha! Ive been trying everything to get this baby out...walking, lots of sex, birthing ball, hot food, pineapple, the list goes on...and its all been for nothing! I give up, just going to chill out now until tuesday

Midwife has made me bleed a little don't remember that from my first have you had any blood from your internal ??

I will be 40 weeks gone on Monday and was told my cervix is high, closed and not even effaced............. Ive been having loads sex with hubby so think the sex thing is a lie that it makes your cervix soften etc. I am due to be induced 14th August if she hasn't come by then, I'm scared. xxx

I've just had a sweep and she can't even feel my cervix, i'm gutted.
She said i'd have to be induced a week on Sunday.

I've just had a little cry, I don't know how much more I can take!

Yeah I had some pink discharge and have had a little bit of brown discharge but seems to have stopped now.

I'm so sorry, hon. I've been 1cm dilated for the past two and a half weeks, and I'm going out of my mind at the lack of labor symptoms. *hugs*.

hi ya! i'm in the same boat too, av another sweep tom to see f my cervix is ready before my induction on tuesday, i just hope she can get in there and do her stuff as not hearing good things about being induced!

Yeah I had some pink discharge and have had a little bit of brown discharge but seems to have stopped now.

Me too, had a little patch on my pad yesterday and she said that was normal. Only if it's a period type bleed should we worry. Just lost a bit more of plug so I have 20 hours left if this is going to work Period pains on and off but nothing promising I'm not bothering with anymore wives tales either just enjoy some of the last few days with my family

Yeah have had time to just relax a bit now after the dissapointing mw appointment this morning. Enjoy the last weekend before nappies & sick hehe ....

Induction isn't all that bad just a tad annoying having to be in the hospital for the whole labour thats all ...
