Hi I was wondering if anyone has been to the babyscanning Glasgow clinic on Ingram street. Ive looked into babybond aswell but they dont have any availability until the end of April but I want mines a few weeks before that time.

They have availability actually for next week, i'll be almost 27 weeks by then, do u think this would be a good time? The date is our wedding anniversary so thought that would be nice Or should I wait a week or 2 more?

Just wondering what the ingram street one is like, im sure theyre good but most people seem to go to babybond??

Thanks xx

I went for a scan at babybond park circus at 17 weeks for gender scan and the sonographer said come back between 26-28 weeks for 4D. Not sure about ingram street, is that peek-a-view? cause i got a letter through and peek-a-view glasgow was cheaper than babybond by around £50 just now x

hey
sent you a reply to you message, hope it helped, just wanted to add i went at 26 weeks and pis were great!
hopefully have managed to attach...

omg how good are those pics !! thank you Claire uve answered all my questions... cant wait now :):)
Did u see ur babys eyes open? I was looking forward to maybe seeing that but I guess its ur luck aswell since its only a short time ur being scanned for.

Thanks dawn... I dont know if theyre called peek-a-view... i dont think so tho, as ive not seen that on their website, they dont really seem to have a name and the website is babyscanning.co.uk They are though cheaper than babybond... well, much the same I guess but they do cheaper packages 4D & 3D from £135 x

no open eyes, lazy wee thing! he/she did move hands about in vid, rubbing eyes and looking like waving, lol sooo cute!!

aww how good !!:) Claire, do u think its worthwhile paying the extra £40 to get the next package size? It means a 45 min appointment instead of 30min... a 10min dvd rathe rthan 5min and 4 pics instead of 2 .... or do u think the time u had was plenty? xx

i think the time we had was plenty and i think the dvd is long enough, we got 6 mins. the research i did before said scans shouldnt be more than 30mins anyway. we actually got 3 pics which was good, dont know if we were just lucky or they normally give out a wee extra. i am gonna try and make some more pics from the dvd, my OH reckons if is paused on the computer you can take a screen shot.

£40 isnt too much more though!!

yeh u can do screen shots think u press print this page or something and copy & paste it to a blank pain page..... thats a good idea.

Just speaking to hubby there, checked babybond site and they do have dates available...dont knwo why i couldnt find them last night lol.. but im quite keen to try this ingram street one.. surley they are just the same anyway !!

Dont know if to pay the extra £40 tho, but then its just a wee extra nice thing to have, i dont think it would matter much really not to have an extra couple of pics and an extra 5mins on the dvd...surley there wouldnt be much youd miss in an extra 5 mins, babys probably just going to be in much the same position, or knowing my luck, sleeping!! hehe.

Do u know their policy if baby isnt in a good position? Do they let u walk around or re book apppintment? x Sorry i keep thinking of questions, ur gonna hate me :) x

dont worry, i dont mind, its good to go with lots of info!

im not sure about what they do if baby isnt in good position, i would assume they would let you walk around, i had to lie on my side for a wee bit and it was fine.

the only reason i went to this one is cos my sister had got us a gift voucher for it, but have heard babybond are good, but dont know how much differnt it would be really, i'm sure its all the same machine they use.

the dvd is pretty mcuh the same for 5 mins, lol, just sleeping and waving! but you never know, if yours is awake you might get a lot more action in 10mins!

xx

Maybe if its active theyd let u change it to a longer appointment hehe - i think i'll stick to the £135 one and see what happens... he seems to be a lazy wee thing, hes managed to sleep through previous scans and lie in akward positions so im sure this one will be no different hehe x

Hi, I went for a 4D scan at Baby scanning in Ingram Street, Glasgow last September and it was really disappointing, my hubby took the afternoon off work and we took our other 2 kids up, I was really excited! The website looked good and because it is in Ingram Street I expected it to be a posh clinic, when we walked in to the reception both my boys tripped over a big tear in the carpet which i thought was disgraceful considering the clinic is for pregnant women and the receptionist was "off sick." The guy who was covering didnt seem to have a clue and couldnt find our appointment. Eventually that was sorted and we went through into a room that reminded me of a student squat. The window looked like it was covered with a blanket to keep the light out and there were a pile of bags in the corner of the room? The person doing the scan basically didnt speak and the scan didnt work. It was so bad we refused to pay, having looked forward to the scan for 2 weeks it was really disappointing and it was a long drive home:(
