50% Effaced at 22w3d?

Hi ladies! I just got home from L&D. I went in after experiencing some uncomfortable pelvic pressure most of the evening. When the doc checked me she said my was at 0 (closed) but I was 50% effaced. The baby is still high up at a -5 position though. I was not contracting at all. The L&D doc said that 50% was fine for how far along I am.

My question is, isn't a little early to be 50% effaced already? They said to follow up with my OB at my regular appt (which is in two weeks). Should I call my OB tomorrow though and ask if she's concerned about my effacement? Has anyone gone through this before?

This is our second child and I have had 3 m/c at 6 weeks gestation. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I don't have personal experience, but I looked it up and I think you should call your OB today to get another opinion. I would think they'd want to monitor that closely!

your early to already be effaced! I would get a second opinion and take it easy!
