My doctor is pressuring me about aborting the pregnancy..
But to me its still very early..
I just want to wait to make sure 100%

NONONONONONO!! It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to soon for that!! You might want to look into getting a new Dr in my opinion!

Unfortunatly I am in the hospital for the blood clot..
I'm on blood thinner.. but it will not effect my pregnancy at all..

Tommorow i am getting my release, so i'm going for a private scan.

Great idea. 2nd opinions are always good to do. I agree with the other poster about getting another doctor. If the 2nd opinion tells you all is well I would definitely do that. Some OBs just aren't very good people. I had 1 OB tell me that I had a mental problem because I cried the first time I heard my son's heartbeat... after 3 miscarraiges before that with no heartbeats. He listed like 5 different mental disorders he thought I had solely based on me being emotional about it. (he only saw me for 1 visit) I promptly told him that he was an idiot and got a new doctor.

Great idea. 2nd opinions are always good to do. I agree with the other poster about getting another doctor. If the 2nd opinion tells you all is well I would definitely do that. Wow.. that is horrible.. people are mean..
I told my self if my hcg was dropping i would listen to the doctors..
But its gotten higher..

I cried at my ultrasound too..
I was like
"Go ahead, tell me my baby's in my tube, just tell me"

She didnt even reply..
It wasnt a tubal preg.. and she could've said something to calm me.. but she didnt!

There are some people who just shouldn't be allowed to work with pregnant women. They should realize most of us are already on the edge without their help!

Unfortunately for those people, I'm way too vocal. When I had my daughter I made one of the nurses so mad that she refused to come back in my room! haha Was her fault though.. I told her the veins on my hand roll and she wouldn't catch them with the IV. She ignored me. She dug the needle in the back of my hand for 5 minutes. I then told her to get out and send in a nurse that knew how to do her job. Next nurse listened and barely hurt me. Some of them will just treat you like crap if you don't speak up.

5 weeks 4 days is very early to see pole/heartbeat. I was that with mason and they saw just teh sac and yoke. I went back at 7 weeks and there he was. Fingers crossed it will be the same for you.

Agree with everybody, it's way too early to see anything. Switch doctors asap. Some people are just not very professional you know. Let us know how your private scan went.

oh sweety i just read this ...

hang in there i am so sure that everything is gonna be ok. in a week you will see your little bean and its heartbeat ....any scan before 61/2 to 7 weeks is just to soon i am wondering why they just didnt calm you down that day.... some people are just not ment to be doctors...or they just forget to be human ..

i am sorry you went through this ....try not to stress out ...cz its for no reason...

Please hang on in there. When I miscarried earlier this year, I cried when I saw the sonographer in EPU asking her if there was any way they were wrong, she offered to rescan me and could show me evidence that I was having a m/c. The edges of the sac were becoming sort of cloudy, at least I had a reason.

There wasn't much to see on my first scan this time but I'm now 13 +4.

Good luck Arielle. I agree with these ladies, there are some people out there who are in the wrong job! Just hadn on in there!!
As if we don't put ourselves though enough stress without all this as well.

My sister in law had a scan at 5+ weeks and they did see a pole and heartbeat.. but it was with an internal scan and it took them aaaaaaaages to find it. It was pure luck. Most of the time, you can't see anything until you're well into week 6. Good luck! x

i had two scans when i was around 5 weeks. the first one they just saw gestational sac and the second there was no fetal pole or heartbeat. I was so worried and upset, thought that somethig was wrong.had another scan at 7w5d and there bubs was and its little heart was beating away.

You are way too early! xx

I had a scan at 5 weeks and only seen a small gestational sac. I didn't see the heartbeat until 6 weeks + 2

Hi

Please dont panic. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had several scans in the early preg clinic. Doc was the same with me, oh there should be something bla bla. I had my HCG levels done all kept rising, then at 7+2 they seen the heartbeat.

You are still quite early and there is still time to see. Dont worry too much just yet. Be positive.

Good luck! I also had a scan at 5w3d and they could only see the gestational and yolk sacs. At 7w3d there was the baby and the sweet little heartbeat!
