6 week check up tomorrow, what to expect?

Mine was just a general chat about how feeling, how was scar and birth control! Not scary at all!

It's usually all about birth control and if you have suicidal tendencies!! Quite dull really

Oh good so no examinations or anything? Do they sort your birth control out there and then?

For me it was just about contraception and was I okay basically. For bubba it was the full works weight, length and head circumference.. Eyes, ears, genitals, hips, mouth, head control. But nothing scary! x

As the others have said it was just a general chat to make sure you are coping ok and a discussion about contraception. I wanted to go back on the depo and she gave me the jab there and then.

Fran had her full check-up at 8wks followed by her jabs straight after xx

My MW and HV haven't even mentioned a check up for LO, should I just book one with my doctor or do I go to the baby clinic?

You should get an appointment through automatically about a week or so before - that's what happens in my area anyway. I did have to ask my doctor at my 6 week check though and she told me it would come through the post but if I hadn't heard anything in a week to ring a book in. It came through a couple of days later.

Ask you doctor love, they will be able to tell you how it works in your area xx

6 week check was just a chat!
We got a letter from the GP for Sophies appointment automatically. If it doesn't come in, just ask when you go in for you check or give them a ring!

We didn't have ours till LO was 4 months! Didn't ask me anything just checked his reflexes, hips etc xx
