6DPO - Don't judge! Tested early for surgery reasons....

so, the only reason I tested....is I am scheduled for surgery Tuesday....and was curious. I had DS#1 last July and my cycles have been unreliable. I just got AF back in May and haven't confirmed O. I've been EP for the past 13 months....anyway so surgery is scheduled and I thought...what the heck, my chart confirmed O (I think) so let's see.

1 EPT Digi says - "not pregnant"

Well that would drive me crazy! But I hate digital tests! The one time I tried them it said not pregnant after having a confirmation test at the Drs office. The First response looks pretty pink to me though!

Thanks Pix. I thought...ok, a digital will be rather clear....HAHA, when you take 2 different one's and get 2 different answers....I think I ran out of liquids and need to drink more to poas more. lol

Wow that is an insane line for 6dpo! Could you have possibly O'd earlier?
Before your surgery they should do a urine test at the hospital to ensure you are/aren't pregnant. So I think if you are still unsure by then, they can definitely tell you before they do anything. But if I got that line, and a positive digi, I would definitely be saying pregnant! Congrats!!

it's hand surgery which I will be awake for...just not sure if it's safe to do if it is a real positive....ugh a whole other issue!

Either way, every time I've been in for any kind of procedure, I get asked if I might be pregnant. If I were you, I would say HELL YES! Haha! I think since the one digi is a different brand, I wouldn't trust that one negative result. it probably has a different sensitivity than the FRER's. I would test again tomorrow or Friday and call them on Friday about it to see what they think. I dont think they allow any surgery due to infection risks but they might have different guidelines for this?

What sensitivity is the ept digital? I'd be trusting the frer and the fr digital!

Surgery - it's tenolysis so i'll be awake to wiggle my finger for the dr

EPT digital is the one in the purple box - test 5 days sooner (is that what you're asking

I just took another EPT Digital and it gave me "not pregnant" LOL

I googled it....I think it says hcg has to be 40 or above where the FR is 20

FRER is way more sensitive than that. I think it picked up my hCG when it couldn't have been above 12. I got CB digital and blue dye negatives same day. Didn't get a positive digi until 10 DPO.

I've read that frer can pick up as low as 6.5miu... I can believe it as well as I got my positive at 9dpo

In my experience as well as based on the numbers frer is much more sensitive! I've never used the ept brand digi but I would assume it's not very sensitive and you are still quite early. I would say another couple days and that ept will say pregnant! Good luck with everything
