Hi everyone,

Just looking for some support really and to see if there's anyone in the same boat. I love my son to bits, but feel like he's really really hard work still. I think I thought it would have got easier by now.

He doesn't sleep well at all, I am breastfeeding and he still feeds every 2-3 hours at night.

In the day he is often unsettled, I find it very hard to leave the house or get anything done because if left by himself he will just moan.

Often still screams at nappy changes, after bath, when I put him down for a nap.

We have started on solids but little progress being made, I feel like I spend a lot of time on this then he doesn't eat any of it.

Can anyone relate to any/all of this?? Tell me it's not just me!

Everything you have described is perfectly normal I'm afraid. He'll grow out of it all but it takes time. Have you tried a wrap or a carrier to have him close while you do housework or to get him to sleep for naps?

A lot of this is still happening to me and she's 17 months soon. In fact, she's got worse recently and at 7.5 months was actually a dream. Hopefully yours will go the other way and change for the better rather than spiralling into hell! Still love her though.

My son was exactly the same, it got easier after 2 years for us, there are now tantrums etc, but its totally different story and he is so much fun! When he was baby he was never happy, had to rock him for ages etc...
It will get better, try to get out of the house for some social time for you and him

I totally sympathise hun. I was exactly the same. Things improved once my LO got more mobile at around 9 - 10 months. Things were so much easier between 1-3 years but now she's 3 she's harder than ever with her behaviour and I find myself counting down to the end of every day again!

sounds familiar! mine would need literally hours of rocking to get to sleep at night. and was generally cross until she was mobile

Thanks everyone. Sorry I don't have time to reply more but your replies have helped me.
