Holly was like that, she's only got a bit better as she's got older. When we are out I have a proper thermos flask, and the lid bit of one of those special flasks for heating bottles. I found it better than a jug because there's not much room round the edge for heat to escape IYKWIM.

I found that the flask bit didn't keep the water hot enough, and I was having to heat it twice with fresh water. We use MAM bottles and they're really thick and take a lot of heating (1 min in the microwave). When I used a proper thermos flask I didn't have that problem and if anything it made the milk too hot if I left it in too long. Once it's empty I ask in a cafe or something (or service station if we're on the road) for some fresh boiling water. x x

When you are out and about, it might be easier to take a flask of water that has been boiled and left for 30 mins with you and pre-measured powder in pots. Then you can make as fresh and cool to the correct temperature rather than trying to heat it up?

^^ WSS

We take out empty sterilised bottles with us, powder dispenser & flask of hot water. I have the tomee yippee travel flask. I was out with a friend recently, she heated the bottle by putting the bottle in the hot water from flask & I simply used the water straight from the flask. Lyla got her milk first, even after faffing about with her Gavisvon!! Some babies just will not take room temp. We always served room temp with Ds, but little lady just would not!!
