8 Month Check

Is it normal for the 8 month check to take place before 8 months? I thought it was 8 months plus...
Jake has his on Monday, he'll be 7.5 months so not too far off but even just one week makes a huge difference in his development... and he was 3+1 weeks early (which they decided to round to 4 weeks and usually don't let me forget about this, at weigh-in's etc)
So surely it's a little unfair to be doing the check now?

Also what are they actually checking for anyway??

i dont know hun, ive only got listed in her red book a 12month check

does seem a little unfair to do it early though

Its 8 months here but LO is only 3 months so havnt got a clue when hers will be.. Sorry.

I think its 12 months here as well. I guess they'll just fit the babies in as and when they can maybe? Not sure sorry!
