I mean this in the nicest possible way, just incase it comes across wrong, but Joshua will learn whatever he needs to learn whenever he is ready. I'm sure you didn't mean that how I took it but if he isn't interested in holding his rattle yet, that really isn't a problem.

jessica is just a bit older, she cant hold a rattle
but at the moment she loves, being sitting up - with support of course
and wiggling around on the floor lol

toria- i know what you mean.

im worried he isnt doing enough for a 8 week old.

what should he be doing?

hes just manages to lift his head up when hes on his belly.

am i not playing with him enough.

Chloe is only just becoming interested in toys now and shes 11 weeks. She hits dangly toys and looks at mirrors. Thats about it, she much prefers me blowing raspberries and singing. It seems her sense of hearing is the one she wants stimulating.

I think sometimes I try and push her to do things cos I think she must be bored- she obviously isnt! ATM shes lying in her moses basket giggling away to herself quite happy!
