8dpo bfn but positive opk

I am 8dpo. I ovulated on 4/16/17 my opk was definitely positive. We did the deed the 3 days before, twice on o day and the two days after. Today I tested (I know still early) and got a bfn on hpt. But then I read that opk will pick it up before hpt so I took one for the hell of it and this was it... they're usually barely there unless I'm ovulating.

Actually a hpt will be positive before an opk. If your getting a positive opk now, its more likely you didn't actually ovulate after yourpositive one 8 days ago and are ovulating now.

Lately, in the pregnancy test forum there is plenty of ladies who got positive opks before hpts. My opk was positive yesterday and a possible faint squinter on a hpt today.

I just got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo . My ovulation trsts went to almost negative and then back to postive . So for me this was true
