9% of pregnant women get early bleeding!

Notable interesting things is that 9% of women had this bleeding, most of them not having a miscarriage.

Also the amount of bleeding varies from spotting to 1-3 tampons worth per day (5-15ml)

I was looking for this resource as I am having a little more than spotting, I would estimate 3-5 ml per day the last 3 days, no cramps, but normally my period would be around 10-15 ml per day, with cramps at the beginning.

Thanks for this - I have had quite substantial bleeds at the start of 2 pregnancies (1DS and 1m/c) and have just started AF yesterday....although of course I am now thinking that it is lighter than usual so I might still be pregnant! I always wondered if it was a hormonal thing eg low in some hormone or other but the report seems to have found no particular reason for bleeding.

Hope your bleeding is not the - it's tough isn't it when you bleed and still don't know what's going on...in a way it'd be easier if you knew it was just AF and could move on

Today my bleeding picked up and got a BFN on first response so I'm putting it down as menstration with 5 days of luteal phase spotting. Don't want to be starting perimenopause if that's what it is... I'm only 29 and do not have any children yet.

I hope yours is not AF!
