9th month without protection. Should I start to be concerned?

I stopped my bcp end of may. We haven't used any protection since then. We used pull out method first few months off the pill but that was it. So NTNP I would have thought we would have got a BFP by now but I guess not. How long should we go before wondering if something's wrong? :/

In all reality a woman only has a 20-25% chance of concieving each month. When you ovulate the egg only stays alive for 12-24hrs so unless you have been charting your temps or using ovulation kits you cant know for sure when you ovulated so it is very easy to miss your fertile window. I wouldnt think there is something wrong unless you have been actively trying for close to a year. Of course if you are over 35yrs they say around 6 months of ttc with no luck you should get checked out.

I, personally, suggest you move from NTNP to TTC and charting and temping as well as OPKs in order to ensure ovulation, track cycles and give yourself the best chance.

You haven't legitimately been trying so in theory most doctors wont see you for 6-12 months.

How old are you and your partner ?

What are your cycles like ?

Do you have any previous children together ? (or does he have any previous children)

Have you had a pre-pregnancy OB check up or any OB check up lately ?

I'm 25 he's 28. No kids. Had a LEEp procedure in October. Other than that my OB said I'm healthy. Regular 28 day cycles

Dont worry yet, keep trying If you dont have bfp after 12 months ttc then visit doctors for a check up.

As all the other ladies have said- actively trying is trying, ntnp is guessing. Unless you can be certain you dtd when ovulating then you cant no for sure if you actually even had a chance. Yes, a lot of women fall pregnant without trying at all- they just happened to have sex at the right time.

It wouldn't hurt you to get your hormones etc checked with the doctor if you are really concerned. Atleast that way you'll know.

I really did not want to get in to the temping but I may start learning how to do it. I just thought it would be easy to get a BFP apparently not so :/ thanks ladies for the encouragement

I haven't temped but used OPKs and they worked fine for me. Its when you have very irregular af that they start becoming difficult to use.

We've been ttc since may last year too Hun. Had a chemical 2 and a bit weeks ago but that's it so far.

I've not given up hope just yet, we've used ov kits before but I found sex became a bit of a chore then as we just focused on smiley faces. So we are going back to the more relaxed way for us and just gonna see if being relaxed works for us.

Keep on going Hun, it'll happen in the end. Maybe charting etc would help?
