Hi all,

I used to read these forums, and have found myself back here after a rough year. Here's my first post! I have a 2yo, and had absolutely no trouble falling pregnant. Had a straight forward pregnancy, and a C/S with an ok recovery. We decided to go for it and have another baby this year and it has been night and day. I had a natural MC in May at 7 weeks. And am just getting over a missed miscarriage, which has been brutal. I'm just about to turn 35.

I'm just a bit lost, and feel that something is obviously "off" with my body. My periods were regular until last December, and then were a bit all over the place between 4-6 weeks. Not sure what would've triggered that beyond having gained 10ish pounds because of 2020. My doctor wasn't concerned, but I'm now thinking that should have been a red flag. I'd like to find out what is going on, and am hoping that there's an easy answer that perhaps an infertility specialist can help uncover...

I'm just at a loss, and wasn't expecting any of what has happened over the last couple of weeks. I'd love to find some ladies to connect and compare notes with. What is your story?

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know that can't be easy to go through. To be honest though after having my first child, my body has changed so much since then. Our bodies just never truly get back to pre-pregnancy after having kids. If you're worried about how long it's taking to conceive, it's just chance most of tbe time. Two of my kids took years to conceive and two of them were basically instant, I've given up trying to understand it lol.

Thank you both for your sweet replies. Perhaps you're right, and everything got knocked off balance after having a baby. I'm kicking myself, as everything seemed totally regular for a few months after I stopped breastfeeding- we would've had a second baby then, if not for covid. Shouldn't have held off. I'm not worried about getting pregnant, as that's happened twice this year... It's more the staying pregnant/having a healthy baby that's the concern for me at this point. I suppose it is all very complicated, and that's easily overlooked unless you find some obstacles to overcome. Thanks again.

I am sorry to read yr story. But you doc is right, you do not need to worry at this point, as up to 3 mcs/pregnancy lossess might happen without any reason. Good luck!

After I had my first, it took a long time for my cycles to regulate, particularly as I breast fed for a year. However I then started taking maca and my cycles regulated, and I fell pregnant 3 months later xx
