Does anyone have one? I'm interested in getting one but only if it's a decent size (DS was 3 months yesterday and nearly out of his 3-6 month clothes).

We had a babybay first time round which was brilliant, but we sold it in eBay and this time round we hired a bed nest from NCT for six months, which is almost as good as the babybay.

We moved our first into his cotbed at 6 months and our nine week old is already starting to look a bit cramped in the bed nest so will probably be in his cotbed earlier than that - although he is big for his age.

Not sure I'd bother with one at three months old purely because they are costly for only a couple months of use but if this doesn't bother you then I would definitely recommend them.

We have a normal cot with the side off wedged up tight to our bed in a side-car arrangement. It's just like a purpose-made co-sleeper, but bigger! The mattresses are luckily the same height when the cot is on its highest setting, but it would be easy to change that if it wasn't quite right. I got a custom sized mattress made - it's extra wide so fits the whole space snuggly with no gaps. DD2 doesn't yet sleep in it, bu it gives me a safer sleep environment even with her in my bed- she can't fall out or get pushed against a bed rail. I love it! We did the same with DD1, though I just had a normal sized mattress with the mattresses pushed together by blankets between the cot side and the cot mattres. It worked, but not quite as safe.

We have a Snuzpod for DS & LOVE it. He is 5mnths but quite small as he was premie, so I expect we'll get another couple of months out of it. If it is for your 3mnth old then maybe cot with side down is better?

I've got a chicco Next2me and it's massive. It's expensive at £150 but the resale on them is really good.

We also have the chicco next 2 me and it is a good size. They often have one on display in mothercare if you want to see one to check.

I couldn't afford a co-sleeper so bought a cheap cot from Ikea and adapted it - works a treat and cost £40!
