A little bit about me...

I'm new, so I thought I'd share a little bit about myself and my journey so far... I'm 22 and I haven't ovulated normally since 3 years after I started my period at 13 years old... I was on Birth Control for almost 2 years when I came off it, and I got pregnant within two months (After some research I have now figured out that it was a surge of hormones from coming off of the BC that likely lead to me ovulating.) and had my daughter 9 months later. We started TTC #2 when she was 8 months old... and she is now 2. I've been back and forth to my Family Doctor and my OBGYN to rule out a multitude of things... My thyroid is fine, my hormones are completely normal, all my lady bits look perfectly fine (Aside from a thick uterine lining from lack of AF) on ultrasounds. We did recently find out that I'm insulin resistant (But I do not have PCOS) so my OBGYN but me on Metformin... I've been on Met for a few months now. I have had AF once since going on it, but still haven't ovulated by looking t my temps. I go back to my OBGYN soon to look at results of my most recent ultrasound and to, hopefully, start Clomid. Hey! I'm in a similar situation. I'm 23 years old and got pregnant with my daughter while I was on birth control 5 years ago and I dont ovulate but have some what normal periods. I dont have an insulin resistance or pcos. We have been trying almost 3 years and had an IuI with femara in May. Had to sit june out due to a cyst and I am currently waiting for my period to see if the cyst is gone. have you went to a specialist?

Hi there,
My story isn't very similar, but I'll share it anyway.

I was ttc my first child at 24 and had unexplained infertility. Finally after 19 months and 4 IUIs I conceived my first child. He's now 8.

My second and third children were conceived without assistance and in a normal time frame. They are now 6 and 2.

I'm now 34 and have been ttc for 13 cycles. I have regular cycles and have timed intercorse well for the entire duration of ttc.

So, back to the RE I go. I'm a little nervous because I'm older now and my biological clock is running out of batteries, lol! I'm not sure what the doc will recommend as I really don't want multiples. We'll see what she says I guess.
