A little nervous

Today I start babysitting for a friend of mine. She is in nursing school and they have only aloud her a week off for having her baby. Today she has to go back. The baby is only 7 days old. The reason I am nervous is because my LO is nearly 11 months and he is into everything and is also very clingy to me at the moment because he is teething. I know i'll do just fine and everything will work out like it should, but i'm just so nervous.

I love the fact that she has chosen me to look after him. She is a good friend and I want to help her out. I am only watching him until he turns 6 weeks and then she will be able to put him into daycare.

Having 2 little ones at the same time seems a little scary. I know millions of people do it everyday. I'm pretty sure i'll be ok.

If anyone has any advice or words of encouragement, it will greatly be appreciated!

you will be fine hun. Just remember newborns sleep alot and thru anything! You will find a way to manage x

Your friend is in NURSING school and is only "allowed" a week off after having a baby? That is absolutely ridicilous, doesn't make any sense and can't even be legal. Hmmm. You're a good friend for offering to help her out but that just isn't right on so many levels!

I thought it should be at least a fortnight before you go back to work but maybe the States are different!! You'll be fine hun don't sweat it after the first day you'll wonder what all the panic was for!! Good Luck!x

In the UK, it's 26 weeks. Dunno about the US work-wise however she's in SCHOOL so it's not like she's even getting paid for it. So it just doesn't sound right at all.
