So I posted a few days back about Fin seeming bored with his toys. Loads of you gave me fab advice and yesterday I went and spent £100 or so in Argos on loads of noisy Vtech type bits and bobs.
Fin was at his Grandmas for the afternoon as she works in a school and it's half term. I got home, unpacked everything, added batteries where needed and thought I'd surprise Fin by putting most of his old toys in the toy box so that when he got home he'd see all his new toys to play with.
BAAAAAD move.
I sat him down and handed him some toys and he burst into tears and started shaking. He was SEEEEERIOUSLY freaked out and wouldn't go near any of them.
So I think it's not a wise choice to remove all the old toys and replace with loads of noisy flashy new ones. A slow transition and introduction appears to work better.
I've now put most of the new toys away and just have 2 out with lots of old ones this morning and he seems better with that.
SO yeah... just a heads up so you don't make the same "Mummy fail" lol xx
