I'm sure you've all been asked this a million times..... BUT let's make it a million and one.

So, what week did you have your twins??

Also, (and this is for those of you that haven't delivered yet as well), if you were put on bed rest, meds to stop contractions, etc... what week was that??

Thanks :flow:

Well I'm still pregnant at 37 and 6. No bedrest no nothing.

37+4 induction, no signs of movement whatsoever, no bedrest.

Encouraging? Or frustrating? I'll be induced Monday if nothing happens before then

38+2 when I had a planned section, no sign of babies before then. I did deliver my second child at 24wks due to suspected incompetent cervix, so had a cervical stitch with the twins and put myself on bed rest as a result (fear!). Proof positive that even with a crappy cervix you can go the distance ipeven with two babies - and big ones at that lol xx

35 weeks and no bed rest (although miserable this past week and a half!). Was in L&D for the night on 2/11 for contractions but since I was at the 34 week mark they said it is too late for the steroids for their lungs and they wouldn't stop labor. Got sent home the next day and babies are still cooking.

I think bed rest all depends on your OB and MFM if you have one. Some dr's say the require bed rest at a certain point and others are fully against it. There is someone on here who was told they would be put on bed rest at 20 something weeks just because. That seemed crazy to us all but it's what the dr said.

Still pregnant, 32 weeks tomorrow. Put on restriction at 16 weeks because of a low lying placenta with baby A, which corrected itself by 27 weeks. Put on bed rest at 27w6d. I had a pre-existing back injury that was causing me agony, plus my cervix was shortening. No signs of preterm labour.

Babyduo has a thead with a poll that you should check out, it shows when people delivered and if they had NICU stays.

I had to have contractions stopped twice at 29 weeks, and now have medication to stop them at home. I am not on official bed rest but I have been told to spend most of my day laying around and not to push myself. The frequent rest is mainly because of the contractions but its also partly because baby B is small and has slower cord flow, but when I am resting its the best flow so more nutrients for him that way.

I've bumped another poll on this, I keep looking at it :p

36 weeks. No bed rest. Went to L&D twice with lots of BH contractions. Water broke the day I was going to be induced. I worked from home up til my delivery date so I took it pretty easy.

Started contracting around 17 weeks
Hospitalized for short cervix and PTL at 20 weeks
Sent home and put on bed rest at 21 weeks
Hospitalized for short cervix and PTL at 22+1
Hospitalized with contractions 2-3 minutes apart at 28 weeks
Babies born at 29+5

36+3 on my own, contractions started at 35+4! No bed rest before. X

Contractions and hospital bed rest at 32 weeks. Released to go home and "take it easy" at 34 + 1. C-section at 35+4 because Baby B was being more sluggish than the doctor was willing to tolerate.

Baby A - 5 lbs. 13 oz.; Baby B - 4 lbs. 9 oz. Both in NICU for 7 days (1 day for a little breathing help and 6 days for help with eating).

They turn one on Sunday (2/24) and they're both absolutely perfect.

35 weeks + 2 had them but was in labor for 8 days before that. Finally had to have an emergency c section. both were in nicu for about an hour until they proved they could thrive on their own.
no bed rest, but i wasn't doing much by the end anyways. worked until delivery in a position i could sit and put my feet up.

I was put on a 48 hour dose of meds to stop minor contractions at 22 weeks. At this point, I was put on bedrest because of that and a slightly shortened cervix (2.1cm). I had more contractions at 28 weeks but I didn't require meds as it caused no cervical change. At 35+3, I was admitted to the hospital due to high bp that was discovered during an NST. I ended up with severe pre-eclampsia so they delivered the babies at 35+5. Baby A was 4lb 10 oz and spent 13 days in the NICU for feeding/growing and Baby B was 4lb 11oz and spent 10 days in the NICU for the same thing.

I'll find out tomorrow if I need bed rest for blood flow to the placentas. So far my cervix has been fine, but could be put on bed rest for that as well if it shortens.

28 weeks and no bed rest, no issues and as active as I was pre-pregnancy (with the exception of riding my horses). Blood pressure is great and on an every 2 week cycle to see the doctor.

Complication-free pregnancy up until 31+2 when I started contracting and my water broke. Magnesium and hospital bedrest kept them in another 4 days to give the steroids time to work, and they were born by emergency c-section at 31+6 when Baby A's placenta abrupted.
