Ok.. So.. I know there will a number of ladies who look at this and think "It doesn't matter if I get stretch marks.. It's all part of pregnancy"... HOWEVER.. I used to think like that.. Intill today when I found my first stretch mark.. Big angry and purple ... I just wanted to post and thought this would be the most appropriate place as this is when bumps start to form.. If you are using things like bio-oil etc.. DON'T FORGET TO RUB IT IN ON YOUR LEGS AND BUM ASWELL AS TUM!!!!!! This is my first pregnancy so I thought (Naively) that you only got stretch marks on you're tummy... :nope: I was wrong!! I found my first one... ON MY BOTTOM... I can safely say I will never be going swimming again .. Just a little tip from me to you.. Hope it helps!!!! :flower:

Thank you for that! I have been using bio oil, but so far just on tummy and back. DEFINATELY lathering it all over my bum now teehee

i started getting strech marks early on in my pregnacy... xxx

they appear in all sorts of places! as i found out the annoying way, but hate to say if your gonna get them your gonna get them. i slathered all sorts of things all over everyday and still ended up looking like a roadmap! :( but good news is they go quite quickly after birth, i didnt think they would but have been pleasantly surprised! :) sorry if ive put a downer on this lol

I do cover the bum just incase but I really appreciate the tip......If you think of any more from the future....please let us know! x

Creams, oils etc. make no difference, absolutely no evidence that they do.

Some people will just get more stretch marks than others! With my daughter I didn't think I had any, but they were all on the underside of the bump that I couldn't see til after the birth, not a nice post-natal surprise!

I think you may be right about the creams etc! I applied bio-oil and cocoa butter morning and night and got loads of stretchmarks on my belly. I didn't put any on my thighs and bum and didn't get any stretchies there, so what can I say!

Maybe use the creams to stop them getting as big/deep/purple and to make them go quicker, but don't expect not to get any!

ive got stretch marks between my legs (sort of on my bum :S LOL) and ONE random small one on my back....very very random places, they appeared early on, before i'd actually stretched... :S

haha oh well

I tend to agree....

I did all the lotions and potions in my first pregnancy and i have the British Road Atlas still remaining on my tummy/thighs 10 years later! They faded, but never disappeared. Whereas my Mum has none from having me and my brother, so i think its just luck of the draw!

xxx

I've heard it's actually the massaging in of the cream not the actual stuff but none the less i massage boob to cankle morning & night. I'm prone to them and have them from when i was a teenager.

Hips, your lower back, your bum, inbetween your legs, tops of thighs, boobs and stomach are all places prone to stretch marks.

I got them on my stomach, top of thighs, lady bits (where the hair line is...:nope: ), my bum and inbetween my legs with my son.

The slimmer I got afterwards, the less you could see them and now you cant see them at all....Im really hoping because my skin has already stretched, It can cope ths time!!! lol

I've got mine from years ago when i was heavily over weight. I've learned ways to cover them up but now i'm not really fussed anymore. If i get some with bub then i get some, i'll just add them to my collection! lol xxx

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately cant help me as i am COVERED from previously being overweight.xxx

Thank you hun lol!!! I've just started using it this week as im just starting to show, but tbh have been lazy with anywhere other than my tummy just coz it's so greasy and annoying lol. but i will bare that in mind tonight!!!xxx

I used that cream religiously all over and I got stretch marks in my last two weeks of pregnancy. My Dr told me that NOTHING will prevent them. If you are going to get them, you will get them. All they do is lessen the "appearance" of stretch marks. Won't hurt anyways.

thanks hehe but its too late for me ive got my first stretch marks already, and they are on my boobies.. So make sure to rub that stretch mark stuff there too!

what colour was they lol? ive got a horrible purple one on my tummy i really hope they go silver and hardly noticeable after the birth :haha:

LOL my sister told me the same thing! Not to forget my bum and BBs!! Now I put it everywhere, it takes awhile but it will be worth it if I dont get any!! Thanks for the advice :) also... does anyone use both bio oil and cocoa butter? right now im using them both but at different times, since it seems like they dont mix if you put them on at the same time. bio oil is always at night though, since it seems like it would ruin my clothes!

I'm terrified of getting them on my boobs - the only part of my body I've always been happy with - so I'm using body butter religiously all over. I lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time when I was younger and that left a few big ones on my tummy and thighs :dohh: and I don't want them to get any worse! I'm not sure either if any cream or amount of massage does work but at least I'll know I did everything I could to try prevent them:kiss:
