Abdominal pain and discomfort for 1 week been in hosp......BAY IS FINE!

Hi

Anyone had anything like this? Im trying to make myself feel better by hoping someone says yes! I am 23 weeks pregnant.

For the past week I have pain which originated bottom right of my abdomen. I now its not the pubic bone pain as Ive had pregnancies before. It was intermittent at first and so i thought originally it was the usual stretching and growing pains. By Thursday evening it was permamant and radiated across the whole of my abdomen. I went into hospital where checked baby was fine and I have been getting lots of kicks.

They kept me in for suspected appendicitis but yet i didn't fulfil all of the criteria for this. I did however end up on IV antibiotics for infection as my HR, Bp etc went nuts. Anyway I came home Saturday as signs of infection were fading thanks to drugs.

But, the pain is still here. Yesterday it was around my waist on the right, as if water infection. My urine has been fine when iwas in. I also had ultrasound and it showed liver, bladder , kidneys were fine but colon inflamed.

Throughout last night I couldn't move in bed and the pain was all over my right side. I feel so bloated. I originally thought it couldve been wind and constipation but docs never said much.

I havent a clue what to do. GP? Hosp again? Midwife? See if drugs continue to work?

Anyone ever had suspected or real appendicitis? Or colon problems during pregnancy?

i have had pain down there ,, and my midwife said it was because i am so small that i can feel everything stretch more then others, but it was not that painfull that i cant move,, although i do get pains when i sleep on my sides and hurt quite a lot but then it goes again,,
i think if it hurts that much you should call the hospital again or your midwife,,

phone the hospital. you should not be in as much pain as you have described.
are you home alone or have you got someone with you?
