? About Doctor's Visits

When do your doctor's visits get bumped from once a month to every two weeks? I could have sworn it was when you hit the 3rd trimester. It's been about 4 years since my DS was born so i'm not sure if I am remembering correctly. I am 23 weeks and a few days, and at my appointment this morning he asked to see me again in 2 weeks. I asked him already and he said yes, like it was a normal thing. The only reason I can guestimate as to why he would want to start seeing me earlier is because I had a really big baby last time ( 10lbs 6oz and 22 inches long big baby), and he wants to maybe monitor me more closely. But if that was the case wouldn't he have said so?

FYI I don't have any complications. My glucose test came back great, and I don't have high blood pressure. Same as last time.

Strange, but I guess it really depends on the doctor. My doctor does every other week starting when you hit third tri and every week when you're 37 weeks.

Mine told me three weeks at my last appointment (18 weeks), so I guess they change to every 3 weeks then. (I also see the MFM every 2 weeks, changing to every week at 22 weeks.)

Here it's every four weeks until about Week 24, then it's every two weeks until Week 36 when it's once a week. So that sounds about right to me.

Every two weeks for me from about 26 weeks on. Then every week from 36w.

Mine went to biweekly at my last appointment which was my 25 week appointment..its roughly around 3rd tri when they switch it over.

When i started going to the doctors (14 Weeks) i was told to come back in 4 weeks then as soon as i hit that appointment at Week 18, i've been seeing him every 2 weeks. I do know that he is watching me closely due to the fact that i have a Lapband around my stomach... but i'm not high risk which is so nice.
