Oopsy. I'm off the pill but we decided to do the pull out method (which we've never done before) because of strong feelings and broodiness. I know that it is probably a very slim possibility of getting pregnant but we're not in the worst situation for a baby. However we're also not in the best situation we can be in (but really, who doesn't have a few things they'd like to change?).

Anyway I just wanted to share because I feel guilty but at the same time, tired of waiting!

lol yay happy acident waiting 2 happen :happydance:

Haha whatever will be will be! No one is ever 100% ready for a baby if you think about that fact that you could always have more or less of something. I hope the results are happy! Who knows, maybe this accident will make you more sure of what you want :) :)

Thanks :) I know that I want this but my OH and I are finding it hard to justify actually trying. It's the case of what will be, will be! I suppose that's less stressful than actually ttc. We're probably going back to using protection but it's nice having the occasional (but intentional) slip ups!

I know I'm being a party pooper, but that chance of getting pregnant from someone pulling out is really low if they do it correctly. Recent studies show that the sperm found in pre-ejaculate are generally either deformed (missing their tails and having no ability to swim) or already expired. I know, I know- I'm no fun- but it's better to be armed with knowledge, yeah?

(I only know this because I looked it up hoping that me and me S/O might end up PG since that's pretty much the only BC we use most of the time. But I can tell you for sure, it's really unlikely. We've been using pull out for over a year and no baby.)

Actually, why don't ya'll just use spermicide if you want the chance of possibly conceiving? The failure rate of spermicide is MUCH higher than the pull out method, but it'll make ya'll feel like your being careful, hehe! :laugh2:

Yikes! I bet there are plenty of surprised mom's out there that could say this is not a fool-proof method of birth control! I wouldnt go telling my friends to use this method if they really weren't ready... just in case.

Reyba- it sounds like maybe you guys are almost at the Not Trying Not Preventing NTNP mindset :) Which is exciting and less stressful than TTC :)

I did say in my first post that I know that it's probably a 'very slim possibility of getting pregnant' but pulling out gives me better odds than using condoms so it made me feel better :p A slim chance of an 'accident' is better than no chance. I will look into that spermicide thing though.

It seems silly that its 'ok' to have an accident but actually ttc makes things so much more awkward with family etc. It's not the best time to be doing this as I get married in 9 months so I should try to not give into my urges. It's so hard though.

haha married in 9 months... yeah probably not the best timing ;) Good luck in everything! Weddings/babies, all very exciting!

Haha I know :p I am in the NTNP mindset really but then rationality sets in and I think about the wedding and honeymoon etc and I think I should definitely be wtt. We were thinking of trying a couple of months before the wedding or maybe just before. It's all very exciting but a bit scary at the same time as there will be many changes.

It looks like 2012 is going to be a good year for you as well :)

We use the pull out method, everytime! So I know your feeling :haha: Here's to happy accidents! :flower:
