I woke up this morning and my calves are sooo sore!!!!!
it feels like i have been working out at the gym for hours on end - but i havent! i have been doing not alot this weekend

i also find it hard to walk properly!! lol! my legs feel weak and i just feel tired!

and also when did you tell your parents and partners parents?

mine know but partners dont

Mine know but partners dont and i dont care tbh, they will have too much to say!

well i am wondering what my partners parents will say

i am hoping they will be happy!!

I told mine a few days after the test. DH's don't know yet. I suppose we'll have to tell them after the scan but we're in no hurry. Probably my BIL will find out on fb before we get round to telling them!

Not sure about the aching calves thing but sounds like yet another of the pregnancy aches and pains! I hope it eases up soon, just take it easy.

Me and DH haven't told anyone yet (apart from the doctor and the midwife!) as we wanted to wait till after our first scan and when the risk of miscarraige drops off. My scan is this Wednesday so if all goes well we will be telling them at the end of the week- I can't wait as I know they will all be so happy! :)

Whatever you and DH decide about telling people it has to be a decision that you are comfortable with.

As soon as i did the test i called my mum nd dad crying :S
they were really supportive..
then my OH told his family.. they werent supportive!! they were ''dissapointed'' and ''ashamed'' (Booo)

i took my brother out for dinner and he got really excited when i told him :)

Not going to tell the rest of the family/friends til after the first scan tho

Your calves might be a sign of dehydration, its where i notice when i am dehydrated first, I am finding i am drinking 50% more than i was pre-pregnancy, roughly 7/8 pints a day of water / squash, and still wake up some days feeling dehydrated.

As for when to tell people, i told my folks early on as i want their support, DH doesn't speak to his family. My specialist knows, but not my dr or midwife! LOL. Everyone else will find out at 16 weeks :D

We told ours as soon as possible, which turned out to be 8 weeks, because we were leaving for our 3 week honeymoon 4 days after finding out we were expecting, and we couldn't round them up before we left, so had to tell them after we got back. Gave us time to sort out some really nice ways to tell them though

The next pregnancy, I don't know what we'll do. If we tell straight away, everyone here will know really early (small place, people gossip), so I may as well mention it on FB, because sooner or later someone will mention it there  Either that, or wait later to tell everyone. My parents are in the UK, so it gives me a chance to post something to them

Sorry to hear that. I don't think anyone should be allowed to tell you they're ashamed of you being pregnant. It may not have been planned, or it may not be happening at the ideal time, but a baby is an incredible thing, and it should only be seen as positive. I hope you didn't take it to heart.

I'd definitely try drinking some water to see if that helps. You could also be low in minerals like potassium or magnesium. Are you taking a prenatal supplement?

We are not telling family until after we hear a HB, including my kids as long as I'm not showing yet. I tend to show early so I may tell the kids before then. I think my parents are going to be upset. I am telling friends though, but not posting on FB because my parents are on there.

i dont drink water much - bad i know - only the flavoured or sparkling variety!

defo better to wait longer i think - just told my mam, dad and bro's coz we are clsoe like that! and my mam is extra support to me which is nice as OH is away thru the week
x

My weird symptom was aching thighs, like I'd been working out! So calves would be possible too!

I only got my BFP today, so going to the doc's this week hopefully, then waiting for next weekend to tell the family as it's MIL's birthday.

I told everyone except my parents as soon as I found out. I though my dad would freak out again and I was just not ready to deal with someone being so unhappy about my pregnancy when I was so excited about it.
The last time I told my dad I was pregnant he offered to take me and pay for the abortion right away. :growlmad: I didnt talk to him until I was almost 5 months pregnant with my twins... I guess he learned from his last reaction to just be supportive. lol I told him I was pregnant and he said congrats baby, smiled then said so when are you due.
I think you should just tell them and if you do get a bad reaction try not to take it to heart. You are happy about your pregnancy and at the end of the day thats all that matters. And usually the people who do have a bad reaction feel so stupid for thinking and saying the things they did as soon as the see that little babies precious face! I wish you luck with telling them!
