Hey Girls,
I miss you all in here but i'll be back soon i hope!
Just wondering if any of you can help me!
I'm not really sure where i go from here after loosing the twins and a tube but i'm wondering if any of you tried acupuncture to help you concieve you're little beans?!

Sorry, I haven't had it in terms of TTC... but I had it years ago for pain.
I'm going to try it again now, which is why the thread caught my eye.
I think it worked well before, but I had such a long journey etc to have the treatment, it ruled out the benefits :/

Sorry I couldn't be more help x

I hope whatever you're having it for works and you have a happy healthy pregnancy x

hey there ... I hope you're okay and will be back really soon!

I had an m/c at the end of 2007, I started having regular acupuncture a few months before starting TTC again. I must admit I was a bit of a wreck, they thought I was depressed and stressed and I would always cry at appointments ... I had been having some minor hormonal imbalances as well. I found a few sessions really helped me feel more in control and my cycles regulated a bit. When starting ttc they advised me to have treatment around ovulation time and period time, so I did, and here I am after a few cycles ... I've had a few sessions since being pregnant as well, as they advise that it 'can help prevent miscarriage' (not sure how, maybe something to do with hormones or stress or blood supply or something), and it is relaxing which always helps!
The clinic I go to is one specialising in fertility and when I went the other day they told me that they have a 'clutch' of ladies due in November, most of whom have had IVF, so we're all happy! It's not cheap though and I'm not sure how long I can keep having it, but I really felt that it helped me.

Good luck :hugs: pm me if you want to know more!

thanks hun, i'm seriously contemplating it. i've looked at costs and it's like £35 a session! ARGH

Hiya Hun, Its really good to see you. :hugs: I think that anything is worth a try. I'd just advise being really careful about where you were going and avoiding the chinese herbal places which appear in the shopping centres etc, I went to one a few years back for help with a knee problem and I left after spending £60 on herbs which did nothing except make me a bit sick and then the acupuncture sessions for a few weeks after which did absolutely nothing either. I'm sure they aren't all bad but still it is worth being wary. A good while later I had some acupuncture from an NHS specialist and it was fantastic! Made a massive difference to me!!

Big hugs hun

yeah snap i got stung up by one of them a while back which put me off thinking about it seriously but after my friend mentioned it to me today i'm seriously thinking about it but obviously through a proper place!

I havent, but i wasted show on pregnancy how this women tried so many things, been on ivf or something for good 3 years.
One day she read in a magazine about what your asking, she went ahead, im sure she said the man who did it says go home try a test, and amazingly she was pregnant, good luck!
