advice on babys hearbeat

Hi,i was wondering if anyone knew if the fact that i find my baby's heartbeat so low down literally on my pubic bone means that baby is possibly engaged as its so low ,up until a week or so ago i was finding it just below my belly button but since then its so low its almost impossible to find,the only times before i remember the heartbeat being that low was when i was in labour just curious if anybody could shed any light on where baby might be as i don't see mw for another few weeks yet,thank you.x

My MW finds it very awkward to find my LO's heartbeat and has done for weeks, even while he wasn't anywhere near engaged. She has to usually dig quite deep into my pelvis to find it. It can be because he's facing the wrong way, amongst a few other things. Mine is usually because he's facing towards my spine and shrugs his shoulders away from any pokes or prods!
