AF has dissappeared but not pregnant

I have PCOS so I know it's normal for me to have crazy cycles. But for the past 3 years they have been like clock work every 40 days spot on. I am currently on day 44 and nothing no sign of AF apart from the occasional sharp cramping pain and I am very hormonal I've tested 2 days ago and it was negative what are the chances my cycles start messing up the first month I start trying to conceive I feel a bit lost really.
