AF Question

So I have a 10 month old baby. She was exclusively breast fed until almost 6 months. I was also on the mini-pill until then. It took a few weeks for my period to come back. Then my cycle was 45 days long. Today is day 46 of my second cycle. I was expecting my cycle to get shorter, not longer. Is that a problem, should I be asking my doctor about this? I might do a pregnancy test tomorrow just to rule that out...
