Hey everyone... i have used my doppler every single day this week, had an abdominal ultrasound on monday so i dont know why i felt the need to use it so much?!

yesterday i was feeling really crampy so i used the doppler and had difficulty hearing the heartbeat, i eventually gave up after about 10 mins, think i got it in the end, but i was so agitated i wasnt sure.

about and hour after i got myself so worked up i had to take the doppler out again, after a struggle (im guessing because i was very distressed)i found the baby's heartbeat, was relived but now im terrified my doppler mite have harmed my baby. :'( after constant usage all this week!

Its a hi-bebe bt200 if that helps

Hi there,
Personally, I wouldn't use a doppler, for the exact reason that you are so anxious about. I am sure that I will get shouted down by other people for saying this, but TBH, I don't think that they are at all good for unborns when they are used to excess. I am sure everything will be ok for you, so try not to worry but maybe give the doppler a rest?

im sure everything is fine hun.. i personaly wont buy or have one for the reason i will stress myself if i dont find the heartbeat... i know they reassure others but im a worrier anyway and dont need to add to them..lol .. as i say though im sure your LO is absolutly fine  x

doppler wont affect your baby, the onyl time baby even starts to know about you using it is when babys hearing develops, and then they can hear it. if it was a problem hospitals wouldnt use them for hours at a time.

Your doppler won't hurt your baby. They are fantastic - if you are not the worrying type! You should try and relax if poss x x

I use mine everyday for a couple of minutes. My OB said it was fine. If it bothers you talk to your Dr.
