Yesterday was my day off - I get one once a week. I planned to sleep til noon and stay in my pjs all day, maybe read my book, hang out with the dogs, watch some bad daytime tv ect.
I woke up at 6am instead with the WORST stabbing pain in my left side. It was excruciating, no matter which way I sat/lay it still hurt. I tried having a bath but that didn't help so then I started getting really worried. My boyfriend was working and forgot his cell at home and my parents had just left the dominican so at around noon I called my aunt to take me to the emergency because I just knew something was wrong. So after waiting for 3 hours to see someone they sent me for an ultrasound to see what was up. The techs eyebrows were knit close together when she was looking at the screen and i was like uh ohhh:nope:whats wrong? and she just started laughing and said don't worry, I've seen this before, its trapped gas. She went and got the doctor and he was like yupp just take some beano and you should be good to go
What a waste of a day off!!! :dohh::dohh::dohh:

Better safe than sorry!! I went to the ER a few weeks ago and it ended up I had ''overdid it'' - can never be too cautious, you know?

Yeah exactly, if I had just assumed it was trapped gas and then it ended up being something serious I never would have forgiven myself
I never knew gas could actually hurt THAT MUCH

I know exactly what you mean! The first time it happened I honestly thought I was going to die! I was in so much pain, I was being sick and having hot flushes. It happened several nights on the trot where I would wake up in complete agony so, in the end, I went to the doctor. She suggested that I cut out bread and cheese..........I haven't had an episode since!! :) Also, think of all the calories I'm avoiding :haha: xox

Ugh I went to the ER once for the same thing, and I wasn't even pregnant! It was pretty embarrassing but SO painful!
