Agnus cactus and PCOS

Hi there I'm new to this and if I dont gett his out then I'm going to go mad. I was told that I have PCOS November last year and havie been ttc for just over a year now. After having my scane in Feb this year my doc put me on met 500mg twice a day and thats that as people would say. So I started doing some looking online for other things that could help me get that that we all deserve to see. I came a cross agnus cactus online so I went to holland and barett and got some. But from what I've read online you should take it at the begining of your cycle. But there is a problem with that fact I haven't had a cycle since July this year.

hey I have PCOS too- do you temp? thought it was a load of rubbish but started it this 'month!" my last period was 6 1/2 weeks ago but i can tell of my temps that i did ov (wooooo) and am now 10 dpo. the fact we only BD once around that time ( i had given up with such a long cycle) i don't think anything will append but i do feel i know where i am. i am on met too. i do suggest the temping as then you can determine where the end of your first 'half' is! i haven't tried the AC yet as finished BCP and want to leave my body drug free for a bit x

I have pcos and im on agnus castus, I take it all through my cycle, this is the 2nd month on it, I take 2 400mg tablets twice a day, I ovulated last month but not sure about this month.

I don't do the temp thing as I always froget to do it. But I know I haven't O for a long time now. Me and my partner do have every week and more than once a week. I think I'm just going to keep going with the met and ac as only been taking it a week now and feeling a diffrence in my body. Finger crossed AF comes to see me in 3 or 4 weeks.

Hi just thought I'd update people on here. I've been on the AC for just under 2 weeks now and am now down to 13st 9lb :happy dance: I can't believe it. I had to do a dubble take at the scales when I saw that. Hoping AF come soon so I can start working out when I'm going to OV so me and the boyfriend can have some us time lol.

I have pcos and started agnus cactus my second cycle off bcp. I didnt find it did anything for my cycle after 3 months on it so stopped. I did notice it made my skin a bit better (i get acne on my back and a little on my face) and it got worse when i went off it

Sorry to hear that Itsy. There are other things you can try to keep the PCOS at bay. Like saw palmetto, milk thistle and chromium. You can get them from any healthy living store or ebay.

i love ac, it brought my cycles back after 9 months! I take 1600mg a day, it works!

I got my ac from a naturapath and it was a liquid, it was for the whole cycle. dont know what dose. it had a few other things in it too. also had me change my diet a bit. I feel healthier but no luck with the cycles or ov'ing. Even My gyn puts me in the 'difficult to treat' category with pcos (i have pco) no insulin resistance and i am right on the line of underweight and healthy so its no supprise it didnt work for me.
Agnus cactus did work for my sister in law tho and does for many people

I have pcos and only had 2-3 af's a year, I managed to get them down to about 60 days and got my bfp the first month of taking AC (dont know for sure if it was anything to do with the AC or not though)
If you havnt had a af for ages id say try taking it for a few weeks and see what happens, if it does bring on af then you can start from there with things like cervix checking or temping to see if you can spot any patterns.

That my plane. I've been on the AC for 14days now and my weight has droped to 13st 8lb I can't believe that in 2 weeks I've lost 7lb. I never thought I could get my weight down like this again in my life

Ok so I didn't stick to my plan and I did an Ov test last night before so me and the oh when he came back from. But I don't know how right the test was cos of the PCOS. So now it's playing on my mind if it was right or not. I know I'm hoping for it to be right and from what I've been reading online the AC should help with the OV and I could be. Just going to have to wait and see now I guess.

I've all most been on the AC for 3 weeks now and still only getting cramps in my lower tummy. I'm hoping its a good thing and just got a few more weeks left to wait and find out. On a good note I did an Ov test last week and it came up that I was oving so me and the boy friend went a bit mad Don't think I did but still nice to feel close to my man in all this madness as we put it. Hope all my girls out there are good and having some luck with there cycles and Up dates please girlies. X X X

I have it and I take ac and I love it, it's shortened my cycles, and made me ov much earlier, this is my third month taking it and it's also helped get rid of mid cycle spotting that I get, I swear by it!

im also taking agnus castus iv only been taking it for a month and im also getting my agnus castus from holland and barrett b4 i brought it i totally did the same as you did reasearching it online etc even went to a private specialist chinese herbal doctor and agnus castus was in the mixture i read alot more reasearch about taking dong guai cause that was the one i wanted to try it become to expensive for me to keep paying the chinese herbal doctor my herbs so in end i went to holland and barrett i was kinda confused alittle at first about how to take agnus castus a lady in shop was so helpfull and told me dong guai is more for menopause and pmt,, she told me agnus castus is certainly the one to take if ya trying to conceive i had numberess of questions still about taking agnus castus and was so worried weither i was taking it right or not i have a regualar cycle but my real doctor wont help me iv seen gynocologists had pelvic scan and they can find anything wrong with me i am using agnus castus ttc because i also have a gyno problem aswell i got P.I.D 3yrs ago and it messed me up so bad even antibiotics wouldnt shift the damage it made a mess of iv been flobbed with NSAID drugs and my doctor surgested coil i refused and dont trust him hun,, i was so desbrate to look for answers and clues for 3yrs but finually when i started taking agnus castus i felt so better i would definately recomend them now your problem is not knowing when to take them right go back to the shop where you got them from which would be holland and barrett and ask for a professional trained advizor who knows what they are talking about and make sure they know what the on about because thats what i did if iv got any questions about taking agnus castus all iv got to do is pop into town and ask for the lady i spoken to last time they told me im to stressed atmo and told me to stop worrying nd keep on taking it,,, but as to your problem make sure you go back and ask for a trained assistant who knows alot about it im sure holland and barrett will give you as much information as they can give you on your problem and shud advice you about it and when to take it,, i know reading up so much reasearch on the internet can be confusing because there r all diffrent ways and means of taking it and stopping n starting it it also had me confused but if youve got any problems i would deffoo go back to holland and barrett and tell them everything what you want to use it for and your problem and all your questions about using it and what to do hope that helps sorry i cant advice you cause im not a proffessional on it but dont get stressed ok hunn GL and hope you find ya answers soon best of look and lots of xx

Thanks hun I did go in the other week and she said that what I did was right and was to just start taking it. I can't wait and see if I af come s in the next few weeks. I never thought in my life I would be saying like that. I can't believe that it took a yr for you get some answers on every thing I hope you get some good news soon hun and and plenty of

Hi I haven't been online for a bit as my oh thinks I'm addicted to writing on here so he took the laptop away from me lol. But I have it back and am wondering how all you girlies are doing and if any one has any new news or good news. Hows the AC been working out for you, are there any :bnp: out there for this month??
