Agnus Castus

Hello ladies,

I'm new to this board and I'm sorry if this question has been done a million times but its just with regards to agnus castus and evening primrose oil.

My background is, me and hubby have been ttc for the last 6 months but so far nothing. I assumed I was ov'ing but wasn't entirely sure when - its only when you start ttc that you realise all these things you have to take notice of!! So for the last 2 cycles I've been using the clear blue digital ov kit - in October I got a smiley face on CD18 and then November a smiley face on CD15 & 16 but nothing happened and AF has arrived today.

I've been reading all these wonderful things about AC and EPO and other vitamins but not entirely sure if these are something I should be considering. These have been my cycles for the last 6 months -

June CD39, July CD30, August CD34, September CD36, October CD31, Novermber CD29.

Do these cycles look like I warrant taking AC and EPO? I'm just really unsure, I've bought the tablets but nervous to start taking them. If I should start taking them, how many should I be taking? I've got 400mg Agnus Castus and 1000mg EPO.

Sorry if I'm sounding dense and going over old ground!!

Hi there, I used a clear blue fertility monitor, agnus castus and B50 complex. It was my third month using the monitor and my second using agnus castus when I got my BFP. I had been using it to lengthen my luteal phase, although I had a perfect 28 day cycle (- almost to the hour!) I found through using the CBFM that I was ovulating later in the cycle then is good - ie only having a 10 day luteal phase.

I cant recall how much agnus castus I was taking - I know it was a relatively low dose as I was concerned about over stimulating the ovaries - which can be bad also.

Anyway, to cut a long story short I am now nearly 15 weeks pregnant WITH TWINS!! Now I have several sets of twins on my mothers side and ours are fraternal twins - the type you can inherit - so I dont know if it was just luck or was always meant to be. If I had my time again, I would still have done everything the same and not left it to fate though so I guess I think the herb helped!

Good luck, keep positive and give a low dose a go. There is a really long agnus castus thred on here somewhere, I bet it can anwer all your questions.

I would defintaly recommend taking agnus castus! I was trying to conceive for over a year with no luck. I used agnus castus for first 14 days of cycle and on second month of using it i found out i was pregnant good luck!!!

agnus castus... i have been doing lots of research on this stuff and it sounds great , i have been using it for a few months and this month im sure i have had intercourse near or on ovulation so will let you know how i get on, im extremely positive with this and and just have a feeling because of agnus castus that i can do it this month!

cycles before AC: 35-38 day cycles
cycles after AC: 27-28 day cycles

also ovulation is no longer late!
even if it doesnt help TTC at least it has helped my cycles!

when do you start taking agnus castus? is there a better date to start taking it?

some sites say cd 1, but u can start takin it whenever, it can take from 1 month to 4 to start working.
i started taking it a few days after

I'm gonna stop taking it after I ovulate. If I ever ovulate
