last year i heard a radio takl show and a dr talked about how giving up sugar and white foods ( bread, sugar, pasta etc etc) can increase your chances of concieving, so i thought id try it because having pcos makes u crave these foods which makes the cysts worse and can stop ovulation, anyway i thought id give it ago but also went on a health kick start and i got preg 2 years ago! it worked and id already been ttc 3 years it was when we took a ttc break but i carried on the healthy no sugar thing.

so two years after concieving my son i want another and its been already 9 months! im now hoping to start a no sugar or white food diet.. id love some company ? any ladies whiling to do it with me? :flower:

Hi! I have pcos and know its common knowledge that eating plays a big part..... But it's SO DAMN HARD!!!!

it def helped last time, thats why i was hoping to find a few buddies to start a strict diet with lol

because having pcos makes u crave these foods

this is very interesting, i did not know that pcos makes you crave sugar! this makes so much sense!!! i have polycystic ovaries but not the syndrome (according to my doctor..hmm) but i have a very sweet tooth and it only started a few years ago when i assumed pco started!

last month, i started exercising an hour or two everyday and dieted and i got pregnant (chemical unfortunately) after trying for over 2 years!! so i defo agree with you that it works!!!

i wish i had the will power to cut out white bread and sugar altogether but i dont :dohh: so exercising and cutting down will have to do me lol!

u could switch to brown instead though? even for one cycle it would do the trick

I will try :) wish me luck! I'm currently 7dpo waiting to test so I will start it next cycle!

good luck hopefully u wont have another cycle, i thought i was like past the tww but i realise now im only like 6 /5 dpo

That's what I'm hoping! My temp has sky rocketed this morning, I'm seriously hoping for the best!

Hello! lucky i popped on to this thread because i started my no sugar, low carb, no wheat diet, low dairy today :) i will happily join you as i need a buddy to help me through the tough craving times haha. I find this forum really useful for herbal remedies and diet tips - https://www.soulcysters.net/forum.php

some lovely ladies on there too, they have many forums from trying for a baby to herbal remedies to skin problems to mental health links with pcos.

Im about to try spearmint and red raspberry teas because they are very popular with the pcos'ers trying to conceive and also getting rid of facial hair. (big problem for me :(. )

so far today i have had gluten free porridge with just water and lots of cinnamon in for flavour ( it also is very good for helping with insulin resistance in pcos) and i'm going to have chicken with veggies and a tomato and garlic sauce for tea soon. Been very busy today so its taken my mind off snacking and surprisingly i haven't felt hungry since my porridge... YAY! xx

im planning on starting my diet tomorrow :) so having my last glass of coke lol

Ooo I'm not big on fizzy drinks but I had my last doughnut yesterday! Still got another packet in the cupboard so going to force dh to eat them all tonight so I don't gobble them up! Ha ha x

lol thats my weak point! fizzy drinks! im hoping since the heat is gone i wont find it as hard to resist. im at this very moment eating a iced cup cake yummy lol last day!

That's true! I'll miss hot chocolate the most but I suppose I can substitute to a fat free sugar free one! Watching x factor feeling hungry now x

yeah i did we kind of went on a ttc break and i went on a health kick, i exercised more, i cut out sugar and drank more water and concentrated on planning my wedding.. and of course then i had a little surprise

As that's lovely! Fingers crossed the health kick works this time! Have you been trying for long?

Had scrambled egg for breakfast. got a headache atm, thinking it might be a sugar come down if that's possible lol x

Really hope it works for you again this time! I follow Slimming World so don't eat much bread but couldn't live without white pasta!

Lmcvey: I couldn't either! I found in tesco last night a gluten and wheat free white pasta will give it a go and let you know if it tastes the same! Was only 1.40 for a big bag so wasn't expensive either ( which usually specialist food is) x

Hello! How is everyone?
I have been doing well with my diet. Had chicken in salsa with carrots and pumpkin seeds for tea :). X
