Oh my days i have just posted this and lost it, so apologies to anyone who has already seen it floating around on the boards somewhere where it probably shouldn't be :dohh:

OK it went something like this .....

Hello ladies :hugs: I just wanted to start a thread for all us ladies due in January so that we can share our pregnancies good and bad bits so far.

I am due on 25th Jan. I had some major MS from weeks 8 till week 19. I am over the worst now and starting to feel more like my old self.
I am waiting for my 20 week scan which is Thursday 9th September. We have decided to find out what we are having. I think it's a girl and DH thinks its a boy.

I am feeling the baby move more and more this week. If i had to say i had a craving it would definitely be cheese, cheese and more cheese oh and raspberry milk shake :dohh:

I have not bought a lot yet. I am waiting to see what we are having. I love pink so will probably go way over the top with it should we be having another little princess.
I have bought some Tommy Tippee bottles with some vouchers that i had for boots and have collected my free changing bag lol.

We don't have any names picked yet. I think it may be a struggle we only found one name that we agreed on last time. Thank goodness she was a girl or the poor little boy may well of had to be called Ella :dohh:

I don't have many worries as this is my 4th pregnancy. The only worry i have really at this moment in time is if i will make it to the hospital in time as DD was born in 1hr 40 minutes :dohh: I had SPD in my last one so am trying to stay as active as possible and enjoy my last pregnancy

Thanks for reading ladies i hope you are able to share your pregnancies so far with me :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Hiya:flower: Im due Jan 6th..can't wait :happydance: TBH had a really smooth pregnancy so far with having no morning sickness and generally feeling good, but the heartburn and the occasional spells of sciatica are killers!:gun: Im totally with you on the cheese..can't get enough of the stuff..even had my mom send me some good old cheddar from the uk cos I cant get the good stuff here
Me and DH are pretty much organized..due to perfectly timed sales and ebay bids we've got practically got everything..just a few last bits and bobs to go..DH was pretty easy when it came to picking a name..rattled off a few that we both liked that the other hated then we settled on 1 which we both love and fits well with our last name:D So you have a daughter called Ella?? Thats funny as thats what we decided to call our LO..short for Gabriella :D
Hope you manage to keep getting around as I looked up SPD and it sounds really horrible!! :hugs:

Hello ladies  I'm due 20th January and just had my anomaly scan yesterday. :happydance:

Everything went great - baby growing as it should and bouncing about like mad!! Took my mum to this one (DH's suggestion!) and she loved seeing her grandchild moving about. Our health board don't tell you what gender it is so would need to pay private if we wanted to know but don't think we'll bother as never found out with DS.

Pregnancy been pretty smooth sailing so far. MS went on a bit longer than it did with DS and didn't stop feeling queasy until week 18. Not got any particular cravings so far. Bubs is moving more and more each day and DH has even felt it move. According to my scan I have an anterior plancenta but think it must be up high as have been feeling proper kicks for almost a fortnight now and didn't think you would feel it that much if it was anterior (just from what I have read on here)

Anway, have started buying a few things now that 20wk scan confirmed evyerything is going fine. Got a gorgeous fleece snowsuit from Asda yesterday - its a brown and cream cow print one and is so cute!

Hello milamummy,

Wow you are organised :happydance: I have loads to get and think about lol. We got rid of all Ella's baby stuff as we thought that she would be the last :dohh:

The heart burn is definitely a killer. What are you taking for it ? I have been taking gaviscon which takes the edge off it but never really gets rid of it  I did try the tablets but they made me feel really sick so am now taking the liquid :growlmad:

How lucky you got away without MS. I didn't have it with my first but it started with my second and has got worse each time

I love your name choice. Gabriella is a is a lovely name so pretty. My little one is just Ella. It was a name i really liked. After all the nose turning that my DH gave when ever i mentioned a name i was waiting for the " no don't like that " but he said he liked it so that was that lol.

Hello, I am due Jan 14th :)

I'm Sarah and am 32. Live by the seaside with my lovely man Ady. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I have a cerclage in place since 14 weeks. The stitch will be taken out at 36 weeks but maybe earlier. I will probably need a c-section due to hypermobility of my joints and SPD. I really don't want a c-section but if thats what it takes to get Jamie here safely then thats what I will do :) xxx

Hello Ladies!

Im due on 24th Jan. Got my 20wk Scan this coming Thursday. Im feeling really anxious as ive not felt the baby move. Had really bad MS in the beginning until about 16 wks. Also in hosp for a scan 2 wks ago as had a show of blood but all seemed ok at the time and nothing since. Im just really scared as its my first baby and not felt him/her move yet!!

We have started to buy a few things but nothing big. Want to wait until after 20wk scan.

Im really excited and also very nervous!!

Hi!
I'm due January 11th but as it's our first the doctor says that could go either way (thank you doc). The first three months I felt that horrible combination of insane hunger with nausea and mashed potatoes was pretty much all I managed. That has gotten better now, although sometimes I still get so ravenous I wonder if I ate at all for a week.

I haven't bought anything yet, we're having a little girl but her room at the moment is still our room and the attic room is still being done up. I'm no good with clutter at the best of times so untill everything can go straight where it has to, no shopping.

Our girl is a real nighttime mover (and shaker), I love lying awake at night feeling her wriggling around (she likes music by Train and Billy Ocean... go figure).

*edit/add* the heartburn is awful still, like food just stays wedged in my chest, very icky feeling.

Gaviscon does nothing for me apart from making me gag..now I just kinda use rennie double action and eat some low fat yoghurt..gotta watch out witht the rennies tho as too many of them gives you wind something chronic:rofl: Im not throwing anything away as I hope we will be lucky again with another cycle of IVF and the lil Ella will get a bro or sis..cant imagine having to buy all this stuff again!! How do you ever manage to afford it all??

@reds05.. you are so lucky to have asdas..I miss it a lot especially as they had that baby event not that long ago and I missed heaps of good bargains:grr: I bet that fleece is adorable :flower:

hey

im due 26th jan, this is my first baby, i think im having a boy and from the look of my 14 week scan and seeing some rather obvious bits between the legs ill be in extreme shock if its a girl.
i have my next scan the 6th sept and im deffo going to find out the sex, i really cant wait to go out and buy blues or pinks.
i already have a few sleepsuits etc but there all in neutral colours and i couldnt resist, my mom has brought me the tommee tippee starter kit with the bottles and breast pump just so i can try both. my mother in law has already brought it a bouncer, a bath and a cot, its her first grandchild and i cant keep her under control!!!! think she is more excited than me, and my other half had brought it too cuddly toys.
i was craving strawberry laces fizzy or normal up until about a week ago and now i cant get enough of cottage pies and sunday dinners.

Hello Reds05,

I'm so pleased your scan went well and every thing is great with bubs. I can't wait to have mine just to put my mind at rest that everything is ok. When i had my first child it was not hospital policy to tell you what you were having but that was 17 years ago lol. They are quite happy to tell you now as long as baby is in a good position. I found out that we were having a girl in my last pregnancy. It was quite nice because when she was born we had already been calling her by her name and i felt like i already knew her lol.

I have to say my sickness has carried on a lot longer this time :growlmad: It normally stops for me at 12 weeks but went on till almost 19 this time. I have also found that my energy was a lot slower to return too. I think my body thinks for god sake woman i have been doing this every 6 years for the last 17 years give me a break lol

Aww snow suits. That's the nice thing about having a winter baby every thing is so cosy and warm. I love a pram with a big cosy toe on it.

 sparkle......can I join??

I'm due 31st January 11 and its my first!

Pregnancy wise, had MS from 6weeks-15 and now just wanna eat EVERYTHING in sight! I'm with ya on the cheese, love it. Epsecially with tomato in a sandwich or cheese strings with hula hoop crisps. I'm loving crisps which is not so good and also massivley into orange flavour fruit shoots and have at least three a day, I sound like a big kid :haha:

We have our 20wk scan on the 13th September, and think we'll find out but I may change my mind at the last minute!

Up until last week we had only bought two sleepsuits, now we have a few newborn and 0-3mths clothes, nappies and some blankets. We don't have the big things yet cos I'd rather wait to see after the scan :D

I haven't felt any movement yet, I know it can be later on with your first but Ive had no flutters or anything :( My bump is also quite small, I would say I do look pregnant though instaed of just the ring of flab I originally had :D

Hi bexsta,

Aww not long to wait for your scan. Let us know how it goes and if your right about it being a boy.
We are due a day apart lol. It's lovely having your first. Everything's so exciting for you and your family. I am about to give my mum her 10th grandchild and my mother in law her 7th. I can assure you they are running for the hills and not the shops lol. :hugs::hugs:

I've had lots of spotting and bleeding. At 14weeks I had bright red blood and thought the worst but all was okay. I think it must be pretty common, still worrying though!!

I haven't felt LO move either, I think its different for everyone.

Anyone get alot of itching or is that just me?? I must do it most in my sleep cos wake up with scratches everywhere. Ive even cut my nails off but I can still manage to cut myself!!!

Sparkle, you made me laugh about them running for the hills

Hi ladies, I am Kristen (27) and my hubby Gino (33) are expecting a little boy on January 10th. This will be our first child and we are so excited to be having a boy, it was my gut instinct from the beginning. My pregnancy (knock on wood) has been amazing so far. I had no morning sickness, and have mostly just been tired. Apparantly my mom was the exact same way with all 3 of her kids, so maybe it's genetics. I am starting to feel my little guy more now, as I have an anterior placenta. So it has kind of gotten in the way for the past few weeks. I just can't wait until my hubby feels it.

We still have quite a bit to buy before he arrives, we are hopefully going to get our nursery set this weekend. Sometimes it feels like there is just so much to do to prepare, but so worth it! :)

I thought it might be nice to share some pregnancy stuff with the other ladies, as sometimes i hold back on the maca train because so many of our wonderfull maca ladies are still waiting for there BFP. I know that each and every one of them is very happy for us but at the same time i don't want to over do it with all the pregnacy talk :hugs::hugs::hugs:
I tell you what linny i look massive i look like i'm pregnant and ate all the pies. I dont know whats happened to me i think it's all the cheese lol. Talking of cheese i too like to have tomato with mine. I like cheese and tomato toasies ummmmm. I'm also with you on the hula hoops. I wonder if we are having the same gender lol.

Hi sarah :hugs: Sorry to hear of your troubles. As a SPD sufferer myself i can understand how painful things can get. Like you say if a c section is the safest way to deliver your baby then it has to be all good. My friend had a c section almost 2 years ago she had a fantastic experience and would jump at the chance of being offered another one next time. I think we need to hear more positive stories from more ladies about c sections and not just the awful ones.

How lovely to live by the sea. Me and my family have just come back from Cornwall and we spent most of our time on the beach. While lazing around and dodging the whale catcher i thought how nice it would be to live somewhere where you could look and smell the sea every day :happydance:

Hello heartarine, We have our scans on the same day :hugs: :happydance: I had a slight bleed at 8 weeks and had a scan. Everything looked ok. I know it's a worry. I'm sure everything will be fine :hugs:

I don't think from what i can remember that i felt my first baby move before the 20 week scan. I'm sure you will feel it very soon. Or your baby may well be moving but you may not recognise the feeling just yet :hugs: Everyone is different.
Let us know how you go on Thursday :hugs::hugs:
