FX I actually O'ed this month..
Had nice steady temps leading up to "ovulation" Now, they're erratic and all over the place!?

i did a couple different overlays in FF:

yours plus 3 of my bfn cycles in late 2014
and
yours plus 3 of my post mc bfn cycles in early 2015
and
yours plus my bfp cycles

and all the comparisons look about just as erratic as yours. my post mc cycles were super erratic, but my charts, in general are really up and down. whenever people saw my erratic charts, they would tell me to take my temp at the same time and it was so annoying because i WAS! it turns out erratic is normal for me. when i overlay my own charts, it's easy to see patterns and my temp spikes and dips at roughly the same places each month. so, i wouldn't worry too much. if you can compare against previous months, you may find the same is true for you? just keep temping and hang in there!!:bodyb:

This link has some good explanations on different types of charts. https://www.fertilityfriend.com/courses/lesson.php?p=1;15;0;0
Yours could be the "sawtooth rise" or "erratic rise"

Thanks so much for taking the time to do some research for me. I can only base my charts off of four times that I can confirm ovulation. My BFN cycles were triphasic (2) and my BFP cycles were slow rise and no triphasic (2)
At this point I'm not even sure if I still ovulated? AF should be here on 16dpo, I'm 13dpo now and took a test on 10,11,12dpo. All BFN.
Most of my cycles are annovulatory, so ovulating would be a surprise itself!! Thanks so much

i had a really "un-bfp-looking" chart for this pregnancy. my temp actually dropped below the coverline, after i'd already gotten a positive hpt.

for what it's worth, my LP was 11-13 days and i got a faint positive at 10dpo. so, only one or two days before AF was due. i would say you still have a chance!!

Thanks so much!! I was sitting here having my coffee and looked at the overlay and thought omg that looks identical to my chart this month lol!!:dohh:
Today, at 14 dpo, I had a pretty nice temp rise (.6degrees) took a test BFN. I always had early BFPs with my sons (10dpo) is it even possible to get a BFP so late? Lol!

i've heard people say they didn't get a positive until 15 or 16dpo, so seems entirely possible!

if AF does show (how rude!:witch::roll:) one thing you can take comfort in is, your temps DO seem to confirm ovulation, since you mentioned you were worried about whether you were ovulating. if you look at the tiny little thumbnail of your chart in your signature (it's easier to see patterns as opposed to getting caught up on a couple "weird" temps that way) you can definitely see a shift in the temps from pre-O to post-O. so, that's always good!!

You've been so awesome jumpingo. You're so right! I definitely see a clear thermal shift without enlarging it. I guess I get caught up specific temps instead of seeing it all whole.
Have a question I'm pretty confident you can answer. Last time I confirmed ovulation was may 2013. I'm not sure if you read allcof my replies on this post but I've confirmed O four times with BBT. Out of those 4 ovulations, two achieved pregnancy which were steady temps, and my other two ovulations were triphasic. So for me, I've never had a BFP with a triphasic chart. I'll show you!! Anyway, last time I charted ovulation was may 2013. My LP was 14 days. Should I use this to say my LP is 14 days? Also, FF had a hard time choosing between cd9 and cd11 as my o date so I could be 12dpo instead of 14. Anyway here's my chart from may 2013 and my chart July 2010 (when I conceived)

okay, here's my take...

also, i'm just a chart nerd and love talking about them, so it's just my take - i could be wrong!:dohh: and wanted to mention that charts don't have to be triphasic to be bfp and some triphasic charts can still be bfn. there's some statistic that says triphasic charts are more LIKELY to be positive, but it's not a for-sure thing.

ovulated, not triphasic, 10 day LP
i'm not sure this chart is obviously triphasic enough for me to confidently call it triphasic. or maybe i just haven't seen enough triphasic patterns to be very well versed in calling them?

(mirena)

May 7, 2013
ovulated, not triphasic, 14 day LP

July 7, 2013
clomid, ovulated, not triphasic, bfp (woohoo!!)

(baby)

April 27, 2015
annovulatory

June 3, 2015
ovulated, not triphasic, jury's out on bfp or AF:coffee:

(i noticed you have 2 boys from your signature, where in this timeline does the other baby fall?)

i think since you had mirena and also have had a baby in the midst of all of these charts, it would be hard to say definitively "Your LP is ___." because all of that will change it and charting a couple months and just watching would probably be the only way to come up with your "new" normal LP.

i started charting and my LP was 11, 13, 13. then i got pregnant but miscarried.
but after my mc, it was 13, 17, 15. and then i got pregnant again. so it definitely can change.

at first glance, it would seem that clomid definitely helped bring on ovulation, but i am guessing fertility drugs/treatment is more complicated than "just" taking them and magically ovulating. but wondered how long you have been actively ttc this time around? is it worth mentioning or asking a doctor about? or would you rather try naturally? (sorry if any of these questions are too nosey, feel free to tell me!:dohh:) if you are willing to keep trying naturally for a little bit more, i would say definitely stick with temping and just try to get an idea if your LP is regular and if you are actually ovulating or not. i'm guessing fertility treatment could change based on that, perhaps, if you go that route again, and having data is always helpful to back up what you are saying to the doctor.

hoping you'll just get a late bfp though.:winkwink:

Hey Lady!
Okay- so much data I. Am going to try to be as uncomplicated as possible lol. The 10 day LP chart was the cycle before I started clomid in which I took Provera to bring on my period so I could take the Clomid. I figured that would mess with my LP?
We got pregnant our first round of Clomid yay! My first pregnancy, I almost lost my son at 20 weeks. My cervix was .53cm and funneling. (3.0cm+ is normal cervical length) they did an emergent cerclage where I was on bed rest (strict) and my bed was tilted at an angle to keep the amniotic sac from pressuring the cervix & cerclage (in fear my water would break) on top of that, I developed Obstetric Cholestasis and terrible PUPS rash. I delivered him at 29 weeks. He's a healthy 4 year old and is around 60lbs. Very healthy. Lol 5 months after I had him, I had an IUD (paraguard) but it fell out and conceived my youngest on accident. (But he'll never be my accident baby so happy we had him) they did a routine cerclage at 14 weeks, progesterone shots once a week. Obstetric Cholestasis, PUPS, his c section was set for Monday, March 5th. The week prior to the scheduled c section, I noticed decreases fetal movement. I just felt off. After in and out of L&D, and extensive Doppler tests, they couldn't find a medical reason to do the c section a week early. I begged and pleased for my doctor to do it early, in which he listened thank God. I had Gabryl on Friday, March 2nd where he was born Yellow. Jaundice level was 17.4 (19 is when brain damage occurs) so they rushed him to NICU, did triple photo therapy and two blood exchange transfusions. Diagnosed with ABO incomparability, a rare form in which our blood mixed through the umbilical cord and my body began to attack him and break down his white blood cells. Neonatal specialist said if we would've waited until Monday, Gabryl would've been born still born, or bread dead. My doctor said my case truly "scarred him" and said I shouldn't have more children. In the event that I do, he would send me to a Fetal Medicine specialist. I have four very serious pregnancy complications. Over the years I have tried to fill my maternal instinct and need for a third child (especially a baby girl) my doctor would send me to a specialist to plead my case and ask for the Clomid. I feel, if I'm meant to have another child, its God's will, he'll help me get pregnant. Or more like allow me to conceive. I feel if I ask for the Clomid, I'm changing the natural order and forcing something that *might* not meant to be. Idk, it makes sense in my mind.
I had the mirena removed May of 2013. I've been actively TTC since then. I'm also treated Hashimotos, which is autoimmune disorder that attacks my thyroid. My hormone levels for my PCOS are actually pretty good! I've started my thyroid meds the beginning of this cycle and I believe its helping my cycles. I haven't ovulated since 2013 and once starting my meds I think,I ovulated?
Anyway, so that's my story! So sorry to hear about your loss! How long ago was this?? Do you have a chart I can stalk? I also love temping/ chatting about charts!! :)

Here's my chart. Been a very weird cycle for me... I really thought it would be an annovulatory one.

I hope the link works

Nicole,
wow, that all sounds so intense. i'm glad you fought for your son and the doctors listened though!! and, i can understand not wanting to "change the natural order" with fertility meds, considering the risks, but i imagine it also makes ttc a very mixed emotion thing.:hugs: i would say keep temping just to get an idea of what your body is doing and maybe take a relaxed approach to it for a bit... that being said, i am an all or nothing kind of girl, so that would be super hard for me.:haha:
as for a chart of mine - i stopped temping as soon as i got pregnant because it was way too anxiety inducing, so i don't have a current chart. i think there are probably screen shots of my chart in my ttc journal, but i have since moved to a pregnancy journal (baby baymax, in my signature) but that's mostly just crazy pregnancy ramblings.:haha:

it's a little hard to tell much since you only have regular temping from cd40 or so, but it looks like a decent temp spike and FF says you ovulated. so, welcome to the insanity of the TTW and hope you find a way to pass the time until you can test (if you're a testing person) or AF shows and helps establish your luteal phase length. do you have any other charts from previous months to compare to?

Unfortunately no I only just started temping. My last cycle lasted 120 some odd days so when this cycle got past 40 days I decided to start temping so I could figure out how my body was working I'm just more confused now tbh

ah, that makes sense. the first month of temping was really hard for me. there's nothing to compare to and you have no idea what to look for, etc. (have you read the daily emails/charting course from FF? it has tons of information about charting and cycles that was really helpful for me when i first started temping) i had really regular cycles so i can only imagine how confusing it would be with irregular cycles.:dohh: BUT, temping can tell you a ton about what your body is doing, so stick with it!:bodyb:

the way i feel about temping is that the first 2-3 months is just "data collection" and you have to remember not to stress out/worry about each individual temperature, and look at the overall pattern of your chart. it does look like you may have ovulated, but it's also hard to know since you start mid cycle and FF can only make guesses based on the information that it has. i say hang in there for 6 more days or so and see if AF shows or you get a positive pregnancy test...

Yeah i meant to start temping at the beginning of this cycle and maybe got the first few days recorded sporadically never at the same time and skipping many days so i decided to just leave it alone because i knew i wasn't doing it consistently enough for it to give me accurate data about what all was going in. I do believe i ovulated when it said because my cm was as fertile as it gets during that week it says i ovulated. I don't get ewcm for the most part i just get really watery cm and the cramps. Although the cramps arent really that big of an inclination because i've had them sporadically this whole cycle. I feel as though my body geared up to ovulate and it didnt happen at least twice this cycles as i had the cramps located on either side of my ovaries but would only spot for a few hours and the cm stayed creamy sorry tmi. Im hoping in six days af does come so i can chart from the start of a cycle and really see what i can learn about my body.
