Hello Ladies,

Little advice? What are/were your bumps like at 17 weeks?
I finally (feeling all chuffed and happy) feel like my tummy is bumping out a little bit...
Just wondering as everyone keeps going on saying I dont look pregnant. I put a pic up on FB today and some actually said ' That aint right!! My wife was massive by then '

Ill try attach the picture.
What do u think? Just don't want to be worrying. I feel pregnant its just everyone else has to have their comment or dig.

xx

i've had loads of comments about hardly showing, finally my bump is coming on a bit now, i keep wearing clothes that highlight it!
people can be so mean and not think about how you're feeling. i don't know why everyone feels the need to compare, it's not liek we usually go round going, oh your hair grows quicker than mine, your feet are too big for your height, are you sure you don't like cauliflower...i do!!! for f**k sake everyone is different!

Hi joyfulsoul, don't worry that is exactly how big i am too, there was a woman at the clinic who was 17 weeks too and she had a massive bump i think it depends how strong your stomach muscles are.

Hey hun, don't worry you look fine to me :)

I don't have a 'proper' bump yet at 16 weeks and certainly from what I've read on here it's normal not to be showing until 20 weeks or even later if it's your first.

I'm actually very jealous of your lack of bloat xx

Thanks girls.
It's nice to hear those sort of comments. Even most girls I speak to are adamant they were much bigger by 4 months and you're right everyone is differen't.
Just think people don't think before they speak....

Is nice too hear you have the same bump :). Midwife mentioned its down to stomach muscles.

such a cute bump! mine was like that with my first, because my muscles had never been stretched before...it was bigger with my second one, and i'm sure it will be even more noticeable with my 3rd baby that is on the way...:)

Hun, don't pay any attention, you look fab :D
You should remind people that your baby is basically the size of a papaya or large onion - I think people seem to have little or no understanding of just how small a baby starts off!

I wouldnt worry i was similar size to you on my first! i didnt really have a bump till i was 6 months pregnant! You are 4 days behind me. Mybump is quite big this time but this is my 3rd pregnancy and apparently you can look bigger when youve had more than 1 pregnancy. Everybody is different! You look fine to me! I hate it when people make comments to me it really annoys me lol

Awww hun u have a lovely little bump dont let ppls comments worry you u look a very slim toned lady pre pregnancy so of course are not going to look huge every woman is diferent gosh people dont think before they open there mouths lol, I wouldnt even show mine on baby number 4 i look like i have swallowed a beach ball lol xxxx

Definately down to stomach muscles as I'm HUGE! But the idea of a gym brings me out in a sweat so me and physical exercise besides walking have never really got on. ;)
My brother's OH is around 10 weeks further along than me but she is a runner and a gym bunny and she's only now about the same size as me. Be thankful you've managed to stay in your own clothes this long! Me, maternity wear has become a way of life already. I miss my skinny jeans. :(

I'm with you and the last week or so has seen some quite dramatic expansion!

Same as! I left here to visit the UK and came back after 6 days to jeans that don't fit and t-shirts that don't stretch around my boobage and belly anymore.
