Almost 4yr old wetting the bed

When DS potty trained in February he was dry at night straight away. And stayed that way for months with just the odd accident. But its more frequent now...its been 3 times this week. I tried pull ups at night a few weeks ago but he wa consistently dry...it felt like a waste of money. I did have some of those bedmats but they don't seem to stay in place that well Any advice?

We have a plastic bedsheet on the bottom, bed mat, sheet, bed mat, sheet. So if she wets I can whip off the top sheet and mat and throw her back in bed. They seem to stay on OK under the sheets but we have some that have a sticky strip which helps them stay in place (sorry I can't remember what brand maybe huggies?)

Any idea why he's wetting? Do you think he's just getting a bit complacent about it or has something upset his routine? Did he normally get out of bed if he needed the toilet or did he just manage without going? Because I know some kids' imaginations go into overdrive and they don't want to leave their bedroom in the dark because it's scary (or cold).

That's a good idea. He can take himself to the toilet in the night so im not sure why. Thnk the excitement of Christmas might be playing a part! I'm definitely going to try layering the sheets and bedmats, great idea thanks ��
