Am I out?

Okay so I am about 11 DPO and I caved in and tested, which I have NEVER done before. I have always waited for AF before but I bought a cheap dollar general test. I think it was negative. Does that mean I am out for sure or should I retest in a few days? I know I seem naive about this but I have just never tested early so I am not sure how it works. Thanks for your advice.

Never out until AF shows. Mines due today, so Im throwing baby dust at us both!!
