Hi, I am getting a bit down now, after seeing everyones nursery's and how people are enjoying their maternity leave just pottering around, mine will be a crazy time. I am moving (a preliminary date on 21st October), which hopefully means an exchange of contracts next friday (7th October) which actually is my last day at work. I will be spending 2 weeks packing (not gonna lift anything heavy or stand on chairs etc) then moving then decorating etc - it seems like it is all on top of me - I just pray that bubba doesn't come early, on time will be ok as I would have almost 3 weeks to get new home into some kind of order.

I just want to be in my new home now and enjoy maternity leave with my feet up!!!!!!!!!

I know its my choice - but really - in todays economic times we are lucky to have cash buyers and no onward chain so have to be grateful - and I keep on telling myself that ! xxxxxxxx

Anyone else hoping that go over their due date? xxxx

I'm not hoping to go over but I dont really want bubs to come early, even though I do feel like I've been pregnant forever! I'm working until 38 weeks so ideally I would like a week or two at home to have a cleaning frenzy and relax a bit before he or she comes! Plus I have tickets to a Rihanna concert when I'll be 39+3 and I'd really like to go to that! Would be so much easier if we just knew when LO was coming wouldnt it lol!x

Hello! I have had two boys and both were late, one 7 days and the other 10 where I was induced.. There weights were 7lb 7 and 6lb 13 ( my heaviest has a different dad) this time im having a girl and if she's going to be like her brother I'm worried she's going to be small if she's early, so although I feel huge, much bigger this time, I want her to come only when she's ready, but I'm ok with her being late, it will make me feel better that she's as strong as can be..plus I'd like to be induced, at least that way you know when things are gonna happen!!

I certainly don't want to go early! I want LO to have enough time to finish baking and decide when he/she's ready to come!

I'm hoping to go as long as possible. With twins, I just hope to make it past 38 weeks.

I got up this morning and the curtains and rail have fallen off the nursery wall! Plaster is brittle and all cracked where it was attached to the wall leaving big holes.... I was fine and ready to be early before that (was early last time). Now it seems such a small thing but I want everything to be just right for her to come, hubby says he'll fix tonight ... not sure why it is bothering me so much... must be hormones! Am 39+2 today (same term as having my son last time!).

I would quite like an Oct baby ( due 1 st Oct ), my dads birthday is on 4 th and it would be lovely for him to share his b- day with his granddaughter. Not sure I'll make it tho- cos they say normally you are earlier than your first.

I want to be either a little early or late, I don't like the idea of having bubs on time...... sharing your birthday halloween must not be fun :)

I don't mind going over, like you i dont want to be early, but i just dont want an October baby lol (i dont like even numbers) :flower:

I work with a guy who has twin daughter's and his wife had to be induced at 41weeks!! Can't begin to imagine how uncomfortable that must have been for her! :flower:

i def. don't mind going over due :D want to make sure she's fully cooked before she comes out, and although i can't have an induction, so if she's 2weeks late it shall be straight to section (boo) i'm happy to wait for her :D

I love your pic by the way! gotta love a bit of harely and joker! xxx

Baby is considered full term at 37 weeks so any point after that would suit me just right!

I am a bit 50/50 on this on one hand I wouldn't mind her coming a week or so early just because I am sooo anxious to meet her finally but on the other hand kind of hope that go a little late so that I can stretch my maternity leave through Christmas rather than go back to work the week before which would be the pits.

im hoping she'll be a couple of days late..... as i go away on the 28th and come back the 31st (day before im due on the 1st november) silly i know but i already booked it up and paid for it before i knew i was pregnant, actually looking forward to relaxing and having me time before the big day :D.

xxx

I definately don't want to go over mine, I feel almost ready for her now. However I still have things to sort in the home, and I feel like I'd really freak out of she was before 38 weeks, as my friend recently had hers just short of 38 weeks and he had a few problems, they had to stay in the hospital. I know that its quite unlikely for the baby to have problems that far ahead in pregnancy, however I don't want my labour to be full of worry, I'd like to try and enjoy the excitement of it at least! X

I don't mind if I go over but I'm hoping for a home birth so would like her to come fairly close to my due date, I really really want to avoid going into hospital to be induced. Now I'm 38 weeks I'd feel safe if I went into labour now, any earlier and I'd have been abit nervous.
