another few questions, sorry

I had my 32 week mw appt today. And she was useless. No matter how much I asked, she didn't give me a decent answer. She's new aswel, which didn't help.

She diagnosed me with PGP. Didn't tell me what I could do to help it. Just said that if I'm in pain in a few weeks, she'll get me physio. So, what is PGP and how can I help it?

Also, on my growth chart, baby is measuring just above the bottom line. Which means she isn't small, but she doesn't seem to be getting bigger. With this cause any problems later on?

Also, she had a poke of baby, and was surprised that babys head wasn't engaged! I didn't think it should be just yet!! Should it be at 32 weeks??

I have to wait 4 weeks for another appt now, not 2 as usual.

pgp is pelvic girdle pain... most pregnant woman get it to some degree... type it into google for some more details.
what was ur fundal height measured at??
baby's head shouldn't be engaged yet... no idea why she thought it should be!!

Hi sorry you had a bad experience with mw.

Never had Pelvic Girdle pain so can't help much there-sorry.

How you been booked in for growth scans at all? I had small for date baby last time and baby is measuring small this time but is growing. If they are worried about LO's growth you should be having regular scans.

Babies head sometimes doesn't engage until labour so don't worry too much about that yet- did she tell you which position the baby was lying in?

Fundal height today was 29cm, 2 weeks before was 28, and 2 weeks before that was 26.5.

She said baby was head down with bum to the side. She's been head down for ages, so I figured that was fine.

There's a huge range of symtpoms and severity, and lots of things you can do to try and help it.

As for baby not being engaged that's totally normal - some don't even engage until labour starts, so at 32 weeks I would definately not be worried! Head down is good

If you are having growth scans then that will make sure that everything is okay with baby. Your fundal height is going up, so baby is probably just on the smaller side.

you don't need to pay attention to your fundal height measurements if you are receiving growth scans - they are much more accurate and will properly measure baby's growth, fluid levels and anything else which could affect fundal height.

not everyones babys heads engage early on they usualy go in by 37 weeks latest... mine engaged at 33weeks hes now 2/5ths ... not really sure what PGP is hun so cant be much help... id ring up and ask for an explanation xx

fundal height is on the lower measurin side... but u can go 3cms either way so it shouldnt be too much of a worry.
